Chapter One

I don\'t know how it happened, nor does he. All we know is that
he is back.
We had been back at my house for an hour now and he had not
said much, actually saying anything would be good at this point. I sat there
looking at him; he was looking at his hands which he was twisting around. Like
he was trying to get something off of them.
"Is there anything I can get you?"
He looked up "No thanks Angelina" Sirius replied.
Sighing I got up and went to the cupboard to get some blankets out for him.
"I only have the sofa, unless you want my bed"
"It\'s ok Angelina the sofa will be fine" he replied.

Looking at him sadly I put down the blankets and come behind
him touching his shoulder softly. At first he tries to pull away but I touch
his shoulder again and this time he does not move.
"Sirius, I am here for you. If there is anything at all in the world you
need or want to talk about you can"
He just turned and looked at me smiling, it was the first time I had really
seen him smile in a very long time.
"Sirius, I am going to go to bed its very late. If you need me my room
is the second door on the right at the top of the stairs.
The bathroom is the first on the right" Letting go of his shoulder slightly.
"Thank you. Goodnight Ana and sleep well"
"You know it\'s been along time since you called me Angel Padfoot" I
replied smiling. "Sleep well".
I turned and slowly headed upstairs to bed.

He had become very
quiet. Couldn\'t blame him with what he had been through.
I mean being blamed for your best friend\'s murder and being sent to Azkaban.
Then breaking out on on the run for almost 3 years, and to top it off being
sent to somewhere in limbo by your own family member, that\'s a hard time.
Turning into my room and closing the door, I slowly get changed
into my night dress and climb into bed.

Laying there I can hear Sirius moving
about downstairs trying to be quiet. Chuckling to myself thinking how he is
not as good as he used to be for sneaking around. I turn over closing my eyes
trying to sleep but I can only think of him.
Sighing thinking to myself. This is not the time to be getting raunchy thoughts
abouriusrius. He doesn\'t like you.
If he did he would have asked you out a long time ago and he has never shown
the slightest bit of interest in you.

I woke suddenly in the night to a sharp cry. I lay there listening
to hear what it is making that sound. Then it hits me. It\'s Sirius. Forgetting
to put a night gown on I run downstairs to check on him and I realise he is
having a bad dream. Kneeling on the floor next to the sofa I gently shake his
shoulder.
"Sirius, wake up it\'s a bad dream"
Looking at me confused for a second his dark eyes come back into focus. "Sorry
Angel guess I woke you"
"No problems, are you ok Sirius?" I asked
"You look concerned, you shouldn\'t be over me."
"Why is that then?"
"I am not worth the bother" he replied as he sat up on the sofa.
Looking at him shocked he had said this, I know he always was the one that said
he didn\'t need looking after.
But this was not the same Sirius Black I grew up with.
I sat down next to him. "I guess that\'s a matter of opinion then because
I think you’re worth caring about" I was shocked I said it.
But he looked at me with a smirk on his face. "Ahh that\'s the Padfoot I
missed"

Suddenly he put his arm around me and buried his head in my should & "It was so dark there, full of evil and death. It makes me appreciate being
back here but I feel so lonely"
Turning I wipe the tears that are slowly running down his face. "You have
me, Remus, Dumbledore. Harry and well his mates. Also Tonks, and the Weasley
family"
"That\'s it though, that\'s what I miss a family. James was like my brother
and they were my family and they are gone."
"Harry\'s still here Sirius" I replied.
"I know, but..."
"You’d like your own family?"
"Yes, I want to fall in love and have children"
"Come on Sirius, you\'ll find someone you always have. Plus the more you
look the less likely you are to find someone. Least that is what I tell myself"
I said.
"So you’re telling me you don\'t have a partner either?" he asked
"Sirius look around the house, does this look like a type of place that
more than one person lives in?"
"Sorry I just assumed you were married or had a boyfriend"
"Double no there, come on when do you ever remember me being in love, ever?"
I joked; half wishing I had not brought it up.

Chuckling he said
"Next you will be telling me you\'ve never had a boyfriend or been on a
date at all, as they don\'t require you to be in love with them"
At this point I go very quiet and start to look at the floor because I can’t
look at him now. Turning to me he gently lifts my chin so I do look at him.
"You\'ve never had a boyfriend Angel?"
Trying not to cry even though I can feel the tears building up in my eyes I
just shake my head.
He then leans in and hugs me tightly "Sorry I didn\'t know, I do have a
habit of putting my foot in things don\'t I?" he said.
"Don\'t worry I have never told anyone. Although Remus did guess in the
last year at school."
"How?"
"Well the fact I didn\'t go to the dances, he never remembered me going
on dates, or me ever mentioned being kissed"
He looked at me in shock "you\'ve never even been kissed"
Moving back slightly "yeah ok I am sad don\'t need to rub it in" sadly
"No you\'re not, I am just shocked because you are beautiful, intelligent,
caring. I always thought you had tons of guys after you"
"No Sirius, in fact the opposite. Men run away from me"
"I am sure that is not true" he said as he gently stroked my cheek.
We looked at each other for a minute without saying a word
"I need to go back to bed Sirius it\'s late"
"Sure, don\'t worry about me though Ana"
"Easier said than done" I replied as I headed upstairs and got into
bed.
