I have to say - I am always rooting for Snape to have a life of his own. He is DDs pawn as much as he is the Dark Lords. Dumbledore is so much a Chessmaster playing God with other people's lives - even if it is for the greater good. Snape is in his debt to a degree, and being the man of honour he definately is, he will always aquiesce to the Headmaster's wishes. I so loved this story because you were not afraid to not have it be Happily Every After. I really felt Snape's conflictedness, always suspecting her motives, her feelings. Never trusting his own heart. It is so sad and feels very real that he would always believe that somehow he was being tricked. Life has been so unkind and unfair to him in many respects. She gave him hope, she gave him so much that I do think he needs regardless of what role he plays in the war. And true to form, in the end Dumbledore interferes, playing God, and being even more responsible for the man that Severus Snape has come to be. Wizards made Snape into what he is as much as he himself did, and I include the Headmaster in this. I wish she could have been strong and defied Dumbledore and stayed in Snape's life. I wish that Snape could have rebelled and been his own man and not Dumbledore's. But it would have been a different story - and life rarely gives us that Happily Ever After...

I know now that you wrote this in your early days in the fandom; but it holds up very well. Good writing and storytelling never goes out of style. So well done to you my dear and I look foward to reading more.

I have enjoyed it immensely. Finally a fema characted who is in lead so to speak. Quite refreshing from the usual SS/HG stuff.

Aw, so aweet. Nice to see Severus getting to relax and have a little fun for a change.

Lovely chapter. This goes well beyond smut, you capture the emotions so vividly. Makes me so happy for Snape, giddy like a teenager.

Sad ending, but it made sense, and was well-written too. Poor Snape, he\'s still an adolescent emotionally, isn\'t he? Thanks for a great read.
