Interesting way of getting the two of them in contact again, although I suspect with Hermione's mistrust and both of them being distinctly lacking in confidence its going to take some time for both of them to overcome old doubts. However wonder if their interaction with students will have something to do with that as they find themselves coming to each others defence/support? Looking forward to seeing how you develop things.
Hello again and thank you for the update! I like that you are giving him some humanity without completely emasculating him. He does have A LOT to make up for to everyone, but he shouldn't be torn to shreds tryng to make amends. Hermione's "level-headedness" is interesting. lol She is trying so hard to be mature about all of it, but I foresee a complete meltdown soon, if she doesn't let some of her thoughts and feelings out to someone. I am saddened to learn she's been so alone for so long. I can only imagine how "in her own head" she's gotten. Slughorn's complete obliviousness was the perfect foil for that trip. :-) Thanks again! I really like the train scene. It really brings the right amount of tension between Draco and Hermione. And of course slughorn will be slughorn lol. Really good chapter. I can't wait for the next one.
