Excellent chapter. I loved the bit between Snape and Dumbledore. Great dialogue. And the tension with Malfoy and his nefarious plotting is getting deliciously dark.
Fav line was "A thin sliver of moonlight cut a luminous strip across one silvery eye and half the smirking mouth of her assailant."--Love this imagery.

And I enjoyed her sticking her wand in Draco's crotch and threatening to castrate him. Makes me wish I had a wand. And magical powers. And Snape.
I look forward to Hermione's attempts to befriend Snape. (And I hope he comes to her aid when Draco goes bad.)
Oh, and Miss Manners says the polite thing to do when you get your partner's junk zapped by dark magic is to kiss it better.
