You made me cry! I can feel their pain, great writing.
I had high hopes for this fanfiction but I think the last two chapters seal the deal for me to drop it. Everything going perfect and SURPRISE Draco has a betrothal? Beyond the cliche, which really isnt a big deal it could make sense, its just comes off so....needless? I feel like there could have been another way to bring drama, though that is likely purely opinion. It's not a bad story but I am not one for all-the-time-angst. I dont think one chapter of what seems like happiness can take away from the fact that this entire story and chapters have been angst. (Which by the way you should add to your tags)
Reading the summary for the plot, I was not expecting it to be easy but Harry shouldnt even try at this point. It mentions 'before Harry can actually have him', but the truth is that Harry can never actually have him. As evidenced by the chapters and Dracos own choices. As this story is from Harry's POV, all I see is Harry pushing and trying and nothing from Draco. I am sure there is reasonings behind everything but I dont care to wait another 5 chapters/month for everything to make sense and be OK again. In this story it makes the most obvious sense Draco should have just stayed with Ethan and Harry should find someone else. Draco, regardless of his heart, isnt doing anything on his end to make it worth it/try for Harry at all.
I hope this review doesnt come across harsh, as I do think your writing is good and your characters have more than one dimension, which I appreciate! But I just find it all a bit bland with too much sadness and not enough uplifting moments to carry this story through. Just like an all around happy story with no drama can become dull. Or a story with too much drama and no peace can become exhausting, repetitive and boring in its own way.
I will keep an eye out incase you come out with another story though. :)

Well I was hoping Harry would do a series of ''WHAT!!'' before he broke the dishes of food, but this was just as good...and who says Harry can't still be with Draco regardless, but I don't think Harry can handle being a ''side chick''. Come on, I know there's aloophole somewhere!

I wonder if Narcissa knows he is in love with someone. Is she pushing this or is their a magical contract they have no control over. I really wonder what role she is playing in all this.
I knew something was coming to keep them apart especially when Draco was at his mom's. I hope there is a way out of this. I don't like the betrothal, but it sure makes great reading. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your stories.
You're killing me! I check every day to see if there's an update, and get a rush of excitement each time there is. I start reading, instantly reingrossed in the tale. And each time I'm left torn between being disappointed that Harry and Draco aren't having their happily-ever-after yet, and being fiercely glad that I'll get to read more. You bring such depths to the characters that I'm lost in their stories.
A couple of small editing notes:
1) It should be "It's all for naught," instead of "It's all for not"
2) It should be "his finely cultivated Malfoy drawl," instead of "his finally cultivated Malfoy drawl."
You definitely have not los this reader! I have been waiting patiently for Harry to pluck up his Gryffindor bravery and tell Draco how he feels. Now that he's done it, I am hoping so hard that Draco doesn't break Harry's heart.
I still enjoyed it with the twist! It was really to easy to be true, lol, there had to be more angst somewhere. At least we know now that Harry's love isn't one sided! Love the update!
I love this story! I've been reading it faithfully and am so happy with this much anticipated update!! I just hope that Draco doesn't try and backpedal his feelings in the morning... Lovely work! Looking forward to what you do next!
Wow it was amazing, I love the way you write how even in the moment there's still the character in there, the slight hesitations it's amazing. Please don't make me wait too long. I need to know what Draco will say in the morning
