Sneaky Ron. This is exactly the kind of thing he'd do, drug Hermione so she's forced to stay with him, and just assume everything will work out. As if Hermione wouldn't be furious. Although knowing Ron, he could have made a mistake with the potion, thinking it was a lust potion or something, instead of a marriage potion.
