Sigh... I don't know if I should be happy that it's over or not. I really enjoyed your idea and your writing style. It was, of course, about the book. Now that the book is "gone", so is the story. You could of course pick up on this in a while with one-shots about the potions :-) I guess you had as much fun writing this as we had reading. And I just saw that you posted another story - Grape Juice *yayyyyy*

First off, this was a great ending. It had a little bit of everything. Sweet, sexy, touching, sad, poignant. I really liked it, and it felt like satisfying conclusion to me. "...it wasn’t his to break."—I'm not sure why I liked this part. Simple honesty maybe. Simple poetry more likely. "What you saw are the memories that my brain thought significant enough to hold on to. Everything else has washed away with the tide of passing years. And it turns out that you were worthwhile remembering. Significant at the time.”—I found this touching and beautiful. "I could either accept that the banality of my existence here was infinite. Or I could imagine something a little better. A fantasy of hope, perhaps. You were a symbol of . . .  potential. Not for me, necessarily, but in general. And, again, hope, even if it is fantastical, is often all we have.”—This made me cry. For entirely personal reasons not having to do with the story. I didn't cry about the part about Lily (even though I found it touching and poignant). This was the most heartbreaking thing to me. I think you just described my life in Snape-speak. "they can interpreted" (There should be a 'be' in there.) "fanfare of fucking" I loved this phrase. "appointed Professor of Fucking."—This cracked me up, and appointed somehow made it funnier. "...I can feel her rubbing against me, every microsecond of the day."—Again I don't know why I liked this so much. I think it's just the thought of being so close, yet distant from the thing you want most. "legilimensed"—I also like made up words that make perfect sense. "...he would have seen himself in at least ten different action poses, hauling or snatching her onto his shoulders and in varying states of eating her pussy."—Clit-centric. "And hers in response, fearful but strong." —This should end in a comma ( its just like you're saying 'she said,' before her quote.) "He interlocked his fingers with hers—those hands that had been bound but touching, and used the other to pull her face down to his."—So freaking sweet. Lovely. '“I don’t need a potion for that.” His creamy voice, liquid sex, slid through her.'—Damn straight. He can make it from scratch. (Potions? We don' need no sticking potions!) "She intertwined her hands with his, but this time she had no intention of letting go. She was free. And with her freedom, she chose him."—Excellent ending lines. Bravo on another excellent story. :)

I came late to the game. When I started reading this you'd already written 7 out of 8 chapters! But this is such a great idea and I loved getting to read your writing again so soon after The Quickening! I loved the part at the end when you talk about Severus's soul, so sensitive and exposed but still able to be vulnerable. While I was reading the first seven chapters a few words stuck out at me that I really liked. You have such an extensive vocabulary. -Susurration was a great word, especially since you followed it with Severus being sweet and giving her his cloak (swoon). -"dream state images sluggishly receding like the slimy tail of some sordid serpent" -- This imagery is perfect. I knew exactly the feeling you were going for and I love the alliteration. -"...she felt him tense against her, but she was careful and his rhythmic breathing gradually returned." -- This line, to me, is a sad but sweet summary of how Severus's heart works. -I was laughing the whole time at the vibrator part! I can't even pick a favorite line, it was all too good. Then the making Hermione cum with just his voice.. ugh. I was right there with her. -"His dark eyes bored into her, their infinite depths stretching back like a long and lonely road, paved with pain." -- You are so brilliant in your descriptions of eyes. Thanks again for another wonderful and creative story for me to immerse myself in.

Oh well, seeing as I'm most assuredly no native speaker, I'll bow to your superior knowledge - maths it is :) And now you've made me wonder what you do for a living. Scientific research or lots of public presentations? Anyway, I was again caught off guard, when I saw another new chapter so quickly and then when I read the *COMPLETE* in the title. On one hand, I am sorry to see that this story is already finished. On the other hand, I guess it is a good thing, considering I've just started reading for/planning/writing my bachelor thesis. I truly shouldn't be reading anything else right now. As for the last chapter itself, I really liked your ending. A little talk developing again in hilarious dialogue, some thoughts along similar lines, a solution for the main problem and then only joy to come... Lovely. Well, to be honest I liked this story just as well as your first and already anticipate, what new ideas you will come up with for that one. For me, the next few weeks will be an exercise in restraint. Let's see how well I fare. Happy writing and all that to you :)

Omg! You are brilliant. I almost cried. That was beautiful. "I trust you" as the release phrase was incredible. That moved me. "Professor of fucking", loved it. Oh I can't believe it's over. I am always so sad when I see that dreaded word...Complete. 'sighs'. That was too short but oh so lovely. I can't wait for the next one. You know I am one of your biggest fans always. Chop. Chop. I am hungry for more. :) Until next time...

Brava!!!!! I absolutely loved every word of that final (boo hoo hoo) chapter. I loved where you went with it and I was touched by his vulnerability. I am so glad she handled it well and I like to think they never got to brew any of the potions because they never needed to. :-) Thank you! I look forward to more from you very soon. HG4eva
