I have to admit I was a bit disappointed, I was hoping this would have started when Sev was young so the story didn't follow Canon and Sev wouldn't be the same as in canon :(

This prologue definitely has me intrigued, I look forward to seeing how this story progresses.
I am curious as to how Merlin will be able to make sure the Dragon King's mate would wear or even have access to the necklace? I also assume that it will have some form of spell on it that can identify his mate and prevent anyone not his mate from wearing it.

Since he is a Red Dragon, I am so looking forward to seeing him being all possessive and jealous over Sev! I can't help but hope that Sev will be pretty in this fic, I always enjoy reading fics where he isn't mocked for his looks but is rather desired.

It is okay, however, you haven't actually started the story yet... this is just a little background info, more like a prologue. At this point, I have no real opinion of your story because we don't know the characters yet nor have we seen them interact at all. We have only gotten a brief gloss over of history, we didn't really get a scene between the king and Merlin, so I can't really give you any notes on writing yet.

When the story actually starts, I should have more to review about! I await your update.
