'Depressed Harry' is a hard characterization to do without making him seem whiny or an attention seeking teenybopper. So far you're doing a pretty good job.

my heart breaks for harry i want to know what happened to him to push him to the breaking point.
im thinking the nightmares are of the war and his upbringing, and his distrust of the headmaster is going to be interesting to find out.
