I do like the way this story is flowing, and as far as Draco & Mione's relationship...it should be going this slow regardless of their past. She's on the job and he just had his son kidnapped. Wife aside. Thanx for the tale so far!

If you're a parent, any story dealing with the kidnapping of children makes you fearful. It was horrifying to learn these little children are being kept in cages -- some as long as two years! Now, it's dreadful to find that these thugs severed a finger. I hope you solve the case quickly and let the relationship between Draco and Hermione simmer along afterwards.

and if our first look at the kidnappers didn't get across that at least one of those involved is a very sick S.O.B. ...then the contents of that package certainly did.

Wow, Draco really did mean it when he said he'd help. Poor guy. But better helping than NOT, and sitting around going crazy doing nothing towards finding one's child.

This is very well written, but I can't shake the feeling I'm going to regret starting it. :weak laugh: I don't tend to like scary/dark things...

You have no idea how excited I got when I saw you had updated this story! I love this original mystery & romance concept. The character dynamic and interaction is so well written. I was kind of relieved when Draco had an emotional outpouring over his son's kidnapping, and that Hermione was there for it. That Cliffie is driving us all crazy though- Please have mercy and update soon! :)

Very great start to the story, another mystery inside a mystery. Can't wait for more chapters!

You've created a gripping story! I couldn't stop reading the first three chapters even long enough to review. You have managed to create multiple layers of tension. There is the lingering tension between Hermione and her former friends. the animosity and tension between Harry, Hermione and Draco, sexual tension between Draco and Hermione (at least on her part) and the overarching tension of the terrifying kidnapping crime. It's so tense all around, it feels like anything could snap at any moment! Well done!

Your criminals really are monstrous, keeping little children in cages! Some of them kept that way for two years! I am eager to see what their ransom demands will be and even more eager to see Hermione crack the case and throw these horrible men into Azkaban. I hope you have a lot of this already written so we don't have to wait too long to find out what will happen next. Love the story.
