Well, Hermione is all over the place in her feelings for and about Draco. Hot one minute and cold the next. I think that's realistic given their history. As the chapter ended it seemed some passionate angry sex was about to happen and that will probably soothe the ragged emotions they each feel. Meanwhile, I cannot imagine how horrific it would be to not know what was happening to your child. Not sure I'd be able to function with my precious son in the hands of crazy, cruel people. I hope something on the case breaks soon....I like Hermione's French friends and co-workers with their easy banter and affection for her. Great story.

You write this so wonderfully... I spent the whole time trying to read through my tears.

I so hope there's some sort of happy ending.

This last chapter was an emotional one. Tough to read, especially on Mother's Day. I hope our brilliant Hermione solves the case soon. I'm wondering now if she is the target -- if maybe the kidnappers staged a kidnapping that would draw her back to England from France.
