The interaction with Blaise and Daphne was a pleasant surprise. It was nice to see Hermione getting some intellectual conversation. Steamy scenes with Draco are always a treat and you write yours so well.

Ah... and Hermione has happened across what will likely be the most difficult aspect coming from the unprecedented beginning of this relationship: what will happen when real feelings are taken into account? I would say Draco already has those feelings, and hopefully this start won't bungle what he might want Hermione to feel for him. Then again, I don't think he took a Bad way of getting into things. Unconventional, yes, but Bad... well I think he went about it as Nicely and Properly as he possibly could. I'm looking at Hermione's position as a highly specific, personal escort... though I have the advantage of knowing there is a chance for a real relationship beyond that. Draco is treating her respectfully throughout, which will be a Big help when he informs her he wants more than just a for show partnership.

Loved the dinner with Blaise and Daphne. The Slytherins' histories were entertaining yet wonderfully low-key so as to keep the focus on our leading pair. I really liked that they had read Hermione's book. Draco's thoughts on the differences between Gryffindors and Slytherins when it comes to reading were interesting and surprisingly mature in objectivity. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by how Draco's grown and matured anymore... but I don't mind as I love these pleasant surprises! <3

Elf wine lead to one of the hottest things I've read. wow. I'm really glad Hermione was the one to make that first step. I can't explain why... but it just feels nicer that she was the one to take it.
