Aaah maybe I'm reading too many of your stories, but I'm getting really confused with this setting of deceits which seems to come up in a few of your current stories.
So far, I get that Draco's deceiving the whole wizarding world by playing his frail persona ; he's actually a skilled thief in quest for what - riches? excitement? self-affirming sense of power? prestige?
I get that he needed Aurors for protection from a very serious threat to his life, into which he can't go in full details lest he will be arrested.
What I don't get so far is why Draco persists into finding ways to manipulate Harry and his Auror collegues to get to each other's throats. Granted, the less Aurors there are to "control" and hide from, the better. Doesn't that hinder his chances at survival though? Doesn't Draco's efforts to occupy Harry with Auror matters and conspiracy theories and confusing sexual advances, comes with a price of rendering any protection from the Chosen One useless, his energy so dispersed?
I also don't get what's the deal with Harry. He seems to be playing his own game, and Draco now knows of it, although not in details or to what extent. Draco just took that information in and then what? He didn't change his own game, he didn't speculate to himself what Harry's motives were and he still goes on with his plans to seduce him - which I don't really get how that would help Draco's cause for his own survival, and that of his grand operation. That thing with Rosier just confuses me even more. Why would Draco point to an enemy falsely linked to the death threats he receives when, upon the alleged perpetrator's capture, this would leave Draco, again, without protection against the real people who wants him dead. He seems an intelligent manipulator. I wish I could understand where he sees the advantages of his actions...
Again, maybe just re-reading the whole thing without reading other stories at the same time would clarify things. Just wanted to check if it was just me or what. Cheers!

I'm getting a little confused as to who is "good" and who is "bad". I think Jared is not someone that Malfoy should trust.
I know he really doesn't much trust anyone but I think Jared is going to turn on him at the very least...going back to the goblins'"side".

I think I like the idea of them sort of lying to each other.Draco pretending to be innocent and helpless and Harry pretending to believe it lol.

My. my...Draco better watch out!
...and Harry's too good of an Auror to not notice Draco or am I
giving him too much credit? Either way, let's the games begin!

Huh. So I was kind of right when I said that Harry was playing his own game with Draco, but wrong about the confrontations being purposely staged. Right now I have no feeling for how this story is going to go, except that it will probably be frustrating to read. :-)
Loved the way Harry captured Greengrass-Rosier. Very dramatic!

Finally, we see Harry participate into the plot! He looked a peon in all precedent chapters. It was frustration and disapointing. Now though? I hope Draco gets to be surprised HOURLY by how Harry can play him as well. Maybe Jared IS Harry in disguise ahaha!

Draco is definitely a sneaky arse bastard. Oh, I would love to
see the glory of his downfall...his undoing...his comeuppance. :-)
But, I have confidence that Harry WILL put two and two together..and get one snake, especially
after that incident. :-)
By the way, is this a roundabout way of making Harry a Head Auror or, in the future, will you devote a story on
Harry working his way up to the position, with a central story thrown in?

Draco is definitely complicated. I think Harry has quite a short frustration level and Draco really does recognize the problems Harry has when dealing with other Aurors. I think that maybe it's something that has built over time as Harry gets more and more frustrated and fed up with people misunderstanding him and what he's trying to do. I still think Harry is going to be furious when he realizes that Draco has been playing him all along. If he really thinks about it... he might be a bit suspicious about Draco being so passive... but he might just attribute it to changes after the war where Draco had to adjust to how he was treated. But really... he's a slytherin Harry!
Harry will be either really furious or really hurt. And Draco... it will probably be even worse. If he tries to have a relationship with Harry he is going to end up frustrated at not being able to be himself and when he comes to really care about Harry... he's going to be terrified about losing Harry when Harry finds out the truth. And scared that Harry won't be able to like who he really is.
Draco is a bit more likable but it's going to blow up in his face.
