Yes! The perfect punishment for Vernon! I think that somehow I missed reading this chapter the first time around because nothing in it seemed familiar. I loved the birthday celebrations and presents, and the sex scene almost brought tears to my eyes. Excellent chapter.

I've been re-reading this story to remind myself of details that I'd forgotten, though I think I'm about ready to skip ahead now. Anyway, I found a typo:
"Draco was loathe to break the moment; but they had been there for a while...." Should be loath.
"Ginny and Luna spent a very pleasant day in Diagon Alley. They shopped, which of course really means they visited every shop that sold clothes for young women, tried on practically everything that might suit, rejected everything, and then went back and bought the first three items they had tried on."
I had to laugh at this. It's so true!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned anything but you had Hermione researching male pregnancy and coming up empty handed. I could have sworn that George and Neville had told it was possible right before they did it the first time.

Things are moving right along in this particular arc; yay! One of the things I like about this story is that the villainous complications you introduce are resolved fairly quickly. That's good because then I don't get an ulcer from prolonged worrying about what's going to happen next and when the culprit(s) will be discovered. ;-)

A chapter with all kinds of pieces falling into place...honestly, how do Lucius, Kingsly,Robin and some others keep up with all these plots & plans? I'd be so confused or so busy trying to keep all the balls in the air not to mention all the big parties, awards & now the coming newts and the weddings...oh yes, the giant double weddings to mention a few events!

Well, duh to me! I should have figured there was more going on than met the eye. Wonder how Pansy and Blaise knew, or suspected. I am a little disappointed in Harry, though. I would have thought he'd show more concern over Hermione's actions. You know, going to check on her himself; it's what he would have done in the past. That only goes to show that his focus really has shifted now that Draco's in his life.

Hmm. Madame Dubois is behaving rather strangely. Why complain to a Ministry head about Banks when even her charges said his behavior was exemplary? Very interesting!
"Bill hadn't told anyone, and he doubted that Karkaroff would have; the man was known to be secretive to the point of lunacy."
Bill knows that Smetana is Karkaroff? I didn't remember that - maybe because I have trouble keeping details in my head for the thirty or so WIPs I'm following. Anyway, the tension is building nicely once more and I eagerly await the next update.

Poor Hermione; I feel for her. So much of her self-identity has to do with being smart and hard-working and studious. This role reversal is understandably hard for her. I just hope Harry is astute enough to realize something is wrong and that Hermione doesn't do something stupid.
