omgosh I just finished reading chapter 8 and it was so so so awesome!!! I loved how Harry showed Umbridge the effects of her actions. I think that worked better than any kind of punishment. She would have just been angry and more self-righteous if he had punished her in some way but seeing herself and how ugly and horrendous she had lived her life was a great idea. People like that do not often examine their motives and actions because they are so focused on being right and getting their way. Awesome awesome scene.
And I loved the scene with Severus and how Snape is opening up to change his own feelings of guilt as well as being willing to help Harry get over his. They are able to understand each other in this better than anyone else. And the way you have written it and the pacing if this flows very naturally. Very well done.

Another good chapter, with a lot happening in it. A benevolent Umbridge? The mind almost boggles! ;-) So very glad Ron turned out to be more mature than everyone expected; I'm tired of stories where he turns into an absolute jerk because of Draco and Harry. JMO, of course.

Wow! The new enhanced Harry! Does this chapter mean that Sirius doesn't fall into the veil after all? If I can't have Severus/Harry Draco is an excellent second choice with Sirius being an excellent second choice for Severus.

Harry finally admits his love for Draco, at least to himself and Severus. Severus is slowly letting go of his past hurts and guilt and with his help Harry can do the same. Ron is impressing far more with how quickly he is maturing this time around. I can't wait until Christmas when Severus and Sirius will get to interact more closely. Dolores just got the shock of her life and maybe had her soul cleansed this time!

I am enjoying this story so much. Definitely one of my favorite "time travel" stories!
More great Severus/Harry interaction, I am just loving the building of their relationship. And even though brief, the kiss with Draco was lovely. Surprise Ron reaction, much more mature than the canon character. I am starting to like him again.
I have to admit that my solution for Umbridge would have her burned alive by those flames but... it is one of the more unique scenes I have seen with her. I am eager to see the results.
Can't wait for more!

So Draco and Harry are heating up and Harry is learning that Draco will always be the to simply calm his soul. Harry has always needed someone who cares more about him than everyone else's perceived conventions of who he should be. The spider web is an act of genius. This lets Bellatrix think she's won yet we all know that Sirius will be alive and well...well at least if everything goes to plan.

Brilliant chapter! I'll be on tenterhooks during the Dept of Mysteries fiasco wondering if something will go wrong. Oh, and I quite understand about having a personal pronunciation; there are certain words I pronounce wrongly just because I prefer it that way. "Augur" I've always pronounced as "ah-gyur" and that probably won't change, lol.

Another great chapter! Harry's focus is awesome but I love how he gives in to the temptation that is Draco.
Nitpicky stuff ---
Technically the curse is called cruciatus, only the incantation is crucio.
Somewhere in the middle, about the 20th paragraph you have "Aura" department instead of Auror.
Can't wait for more!

Quite a lovely chapter. I'm glad the boys are taking time to really get to know each other. They deserve so much more than a flash of desire that burns out quickly. Harry will help Severus he some new shiny happy memories and maybe make his godfather happy too. I would have thought he would get more of the basilisk than just some venom. Think how happy Severus would have been to have some of the basilisk parts in his private potions store! Vince is going to be a problem but now he's out numbered. The holidays actually make me nervous because I think he may tell his father what's going on and Voldemort will know of their defection sooner rather than later. Oh well, I guess it can't be helped and Harry will do his best to protect Draco and his family.
