What a sad story so far. I hope you continue this story. I also hope Severus comes back into it. Last I read Harry had burst into Severus's home & Sev had done drugs again just as Harry had done. After both starting to clean up I can't believe they did that. Maybe they could each be each others sponsor or find one.

I am so happy you are writing this story again. I love the last flashback chapter you did to show us first hand that Harry has been through this unrelenting side of addiction as well. I can't wait to read more!

I am extremely confused. You left us with a cliff hanger in 6 and picked up with something totally unrelated in 7.

I think being able to see what Harry has to deal with behind the Snape scenes is a good thing to put in there. Just so we dont always see him as such a calm and collected individual. You expressed his inner battle with "to do or not to do" quite nicely. This story actually caught my attention because I used to be pretty bad into drugs, and the way you write the shooting up scene was very realistic. As a parent though, I'm pretty sad that he did it, instead of letting teddy be his reason not to. Still loving the story, regardless! I hope to see what happened with Severus in chapter six soon. Maybe the two of them will get together and maybe Severus will fall in love with teddy too :)

Just finished the 2nd chapter. Its a good idea with a fresh look at this couple. Love that I have not read this before. However the whole Detox in a few hours was a big pill to swallow. I do hope you realize that drug addiction is only for a very small part about taking the actual drug. As you pointed out its about numbness and escape. If Sev has really been addicted for so many years do you really think that after 1 potion and meeting Harry he is gonna give up? Seems kind of shallow :/ Addiction is highly psychological. Its really, really hard. Even if you take away the psychsical pain you still have the mental anguish which is so much more. It would have been so much more convincing if, after the first night back in his own bed he would have been reading up on the poppys and then started thinking about heroin again. Even as he tries to focus, the thought of the drug slowly invading his mind...I do feel like the druggie bit was just a throw away plot point that you only needed for the two of them to meet. But I digress, will get back to you after I have read the next chapter...

So, chapter 3...its not bad. The story is moving along nicely, well paced, good descriptions but...but...I miss my snarky, bitter potions master who hates the world and spits venom at small children. What happened to him? Did he become mellow through heroin? I know he is suddenly seeing Harry in a new light but wheres the acidic and dry whit that we all know and love? Who is this man that is moved when Harry says he wants to give them both direction instead of snearing and pulling up his tough guy shell and maybe MAYBE being a tiny bit moved in his heart of hearts? I'm sorry but your Snape is just to nice XD

Chapter 4, okay, nice detail about the research but I was absolutly blown away by the fact that Snape told HERMIONE that Harry was the light he needed in his life. WOW. I mean no inner turmoil at that realisation, no horror at revealing something so personal ? I miss Snapes inner turmoil :/
