I've got to say it again: one's acting outrageously: everyone but the Potters.

Seriously, Harry is STILL acting like a spoiled brat. I get that he was abused but to take it out on people who THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE LEAVING HIM SOMEWHERE SAFE is just plain and simple, period and done with forever, no more argument allowed..... WRONG!

The story is going into dip territory.

I hope that the therapist gives Harry and the others a wakeup call on this subject, because if I was that therapist and after showing this story to others, they agree... that is what needs to be done.

To ladilyn: I am sorry but I have to disagree, ladilyn. To write a story like this that has NUMEROUS plot holes and vitriols people who thought that they were leaving Harry somewhere SAFE speaks to a person who has had this happen to them and has not been given the proper wakeup call that they really need.

To be blunt, Harry was NOT abandoned. He was left with RELATIVES who James, Lily and Albus thought would take good care of him. Let me give you a wake-up call and tell you THAT HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE DAY IN THE UNITED STATES AND THE WORLD!

Taking a child with you when you are going on a hunt after a dark wizard would TRULY be abusive and would be putting them in needless danger. Now, I know that you are going to yarp and yipe about "What about Harry's siblings!" We have no idea when they came into the picture or if they were kept well away from their parents dark wizard hunt.

The latest chapter really highlights for me just how delusional James is with regard to the relationship with Harry. The story clearly states that Harry was not left with RELATIVES, he was left on a doorstep. Regardless of the fact that it was the relatives doorstep, it was still a doorstep and the relatives were not informed that he was there. That, by law, is ABANDONMENT. Even if they thought they were leaving Harry someplace safe, with safe being a relative term as we know from canon that Harry was not safe inside the Dursley home, at no point after dumping him on the doorstep did they check on Harry. How then, can James think that Harry would just accept him as a parental figure? Other than provide the genetic materials, there is nothing that James and Lily contributed to Harry's life in a positive way at least that Harry remembers.

The first part of the chapter clearly gives credence to the opinion of Sirius later on with regard to James' actions and reactions. Clearly these adults do not want to take responsibility for their actions. How could a mother just leave her 1 year old child and not check on him? Even if they felt they could not return to the UK, how could they not have some type of monitoring in place? I won't even get into them knowing there would be problems with Sirius being accused of their betrayal and not doing anything to make sure an innocent man did not spend years in prison for their fraud.

I adore the chat between Sirius and Harry as we learn more about their relationship. I still have a lot of questions but that's what happens when you read a chapter at a time. I must wait to see if those questions get answered and I'm sure they will at the proper time. I am glad the author didn't lay out all the problems Harry has overcome already as I get the feeling that we will learn about them during the mind healer conference and then it would just be a repeat and would have lost its effective shock value which is what James and Lily need to wake them up.

Great job Speedy Tomato. This story is realistic and addicting, just what I like in a story.

Just had a mini day-dream after finishing this chapter. When they're at the museum sometime in the next few days, after the dinosaur exhibit and looking through the Egypt one, Harry gets distracted and excited and starts reading out some parcel-script to Sev, Remus and Sirius. After being asked by one of them to "talk in english please" he starts telling a partially known story that's end has been unknown for ages. One of the curators overhears. Nothing ends up coming of it, as they leave as soon as they notice a muggle but it would be kinda cool to read it actually play out.

I'll be honest here: Story sucks. It seems to be a 'bash on James, Lily and Albus for things that they could not control' story and that is just insanity.

Again, NONE of what happened to Harry is to blame on James, Lily nor Albus. They left him somewhere where they thought that he would be safe. Yes, they were wrong, however who has not been wrong about things like that in their lifetime.

Harry and the rest seem like petulant arses who are blaming James, Lily and Albus for shit that they were not around to even know about. Not to MENTION that they were touring the world to get rid of Voldemort for good and yet.... no one wants to use some LOGIC here and stop blaming them?

Again, Severus and all of the anti-Potter brigade seem like arseholes who are just looking for someone to blame for shit when they have already gotten and punished the people who were to blame for Harry's abuse.

Wow, 8 chapters and I have only reviewed 3 times. Shame on me and I apologize. ANYWAYS, I love this story and wish it would come out faster! lol I like the different take on things. It's a great "what if" story. What if the Dursely's never found Harry, what if the Potters never died etc. You're doing a great job melding original details in with your own and it's a pleasure to read. Is it to everyone's tastes? No. But perhaps it will help them expand their creative mind and get them to start thinking outside the "box" most worlds create. I know I have been! Can't wait to read more! Also, thank you for not going with the general idea that Lily and James are always in the right or pure good/evil Dumbles. I am so sick of that and this seems more realistic!

I like it. Really do. I didn't expect to because both Lucius and Narcissa and Sev to a degree are sooooooooooo Out of character that even with some AU leeway they've still pretty much character swapped by 180 degrees.I mean Lucius eager to dress up in *that* outfit to emulate a muggle? Wow, just wow. and yet...and yet....I still like it. I can't explain it. I'm so tired of Harry going through shit and everything is just this huge build-up and afterward you end up depleted and sad and thinking what shall I do now with my life after all that is over and there was just this measly 2 paragraph epilouge. I want more of the happy...after all that Shite I just bloody want him to be happy in a context that doesn't include him being pregnant or getting somebody pregnant.Or popping out 18 children before his 25th birthday( no names mentioned, hemhem). This has more normal stuff, fun stuff, healing stuff. So yeah, plz do continue. Also, I love the photobombing rabbit. I don't think any of the adults would have known what that word meant as they had no context to learn it but yeah, Bug FTW.

I'm sorry, but the whole premise of this story is bunkus. No, James, Lily and Dumbledore do NOT have any of the blame for what happened to Harry. They left him with people who they assumed, because they were FAMILY, would take good care of him. Yes, it was the Dursley's.... however, Lily might have actually thought that Petunia would have set aside her dislike of 'unnaturalness' (magic is no such thing) to take care of a child, even a magical one.

The only ones to blame for what happened to Harry are the Dursley's. No one else.
