Ch. 10
Wow, does Dumbledore WANT to make Harry distrust and dislike him? 'Cause he's sure doing a lot to make that happen. Sheesh!

Yes I did like more Harry & Snape & Draco. But being greedy I'd like more please. Only thing better than Harry/Draco is Harry/Severus. But he is being "Uncle" in this one and a REALLY strict one too!

I found Harry's reaction with Dumbledore very weird. He doesn't set out to be disobedient doesn't matter. The fact was, he IS disobedient(irregardless of his intention). If Dumbledore didn't punish him then that would be a bad example to the rest of the school, "Be disobedient and be awarded." It doesn't matter if it was for a good cause. Yes, if he hadn't went then Hermione would probably be in danger but there was NO way of knowing that Harry and the rest wouldn't have been hurt or killed as well. The rules were set to PROTECT the students. If dumbledore didn't punish him in at least a small way, then other students would follow Harry's footsteps and would probably get hurt. Breaking rules and punishment though can be influenced by intention, it should no way condone behaviour that PROMOTES or encourages students to place themselves in danger. That's why punishment should be meted out to stop or at least deter this type of behaviour. They are FIRST YEARS for goodness sake, they shouldn't be allowed to do those kinds of things. It doesn't matter that Dumbledore gave the punishment for a different reason. If he didn't, then at least the Head of House should give out those punishments.
Yes, Harry obviously know Dumbledore has something against him but the punishment itself is not uncalled for and to speak out about it would make Harry very arrogant indeed. He is not above punishment.
In a normal scenario, anywhere on earth. If a child was awarded for saving their friend but by doing so they had actually gone against an order which was set to protect them and also had placed themselves in a situation of danger. the parent of that child while proud, may also be furious. "You award my child for almost getting hurt? What if he had gotten himself killed? Why did you allow him to go there?(when in fact the child was disobedient)"
That's why, while I actually WANT Harry to save Hermione and probably EXPECT him to do it again if he had to repeat it, I still expect the teachers to reprimand him because as teachers that's is what they're supposed to do. There's be too many repercussions if teachers allow students to willy nilly let themselves get hurt.

Don't get all tetchy on me,I just want to point out that you are spelling a character name incorrectly. It is Parvati, not Pavarti, which is closer to Pavarotti, the opera great. Truly it is not just you, this is rampant in fan fiction. Most misspell Ginny's given name, Ginevra, as Ginerva. Don't even get me started on Blaise Zabini. I just wonder why, if you don't know, you wouldn't look it up if you're going to write fan fiction? Again it's not just you. It also ties into my pet peeve about the dreadful spelling in many stories. It's distracting to me as a reader. Surely you writers would rather have readers riveted on plotline and characters rather than spelling and grammar. Thank you for your efforts.

Loved the chapter,I like how they all worked together to defeat the troll!:) I think you should bring back Lily and I have a general idea how,she didn't die when Voldemort attacked the Potter home,he only stunned her because of Severus' request but then Dumbledore arrived and put her in some kind of magical coma...she's still in a coma but she communicates with Harry in his dreams like you've shown and what Harry told Severus was a clue to get his help but she hasn't told Harry the truth because she doesn't want to get his hopes up!!! Looking forward to the next chapter :)
