Finally Draco is waking up and realizing how fortunate he is and that Harry did the best he could to mitigate his sentence. The scene between Draco and his parents was very touching. Good chapter!

I know Lucius was an evil wizard but I think he was changed or changing before Voldemort died wasn't he? 30 years in Azkaban seems hefty even though wizards have very very long life spans. I was hoping for drarry but Draco seems very cold and aggressive toward him all the time.

So I wasn't gonna voice this but it's really bothering me. How can they reopen Draco's case when he's older shouldn't that be illegal? Whether you're a kid or an adult if you're guilty of a crime and punished for it they can't just reopen the case and repunish you for the same crimes at a later date. I mean correct me if I'm wrong but Draco was deemed guilty for his crimes and his punishment is to be treated as a minor and have his wand snapped right? So why is him going to Azkaban still on the table? Everyone else received all of their punishments without problem so I'm not understanding why Draco's case is still open.

I was afraid you were going to say that Ron would be the auror for Draco's punishment. Glad its not going to be him. If Draco goes home with Harry under Stones eye he is going to be royally angry! How are they going to get together...it'll be chapter 414 before they do. I wish you would find a way to get Draco away from too much punishment. As the story said others were getting away with little to none. Poor Lucius is going to end up being the brunt of everyone's anger and their frusration with how the trials are going and the time they are taking. As bad as he is does he really deserbve that. He was trying to protect his family when he saw how Voldemort was really.

Well, hmmm. Now, you do know that I enjoy your tales immensely. That being said, I'm not really sure I like Snape or Draco here. I really don't like the concept of stripping someone's wand -- it seems more like retribution than punishment, so in that aspect, I have to agree with Draco. I'd choose Azkaban. I'm not sure why Snape isn't take a more active role in private to advise Harry on these matters. Oh my, not a real criticism just a subjective observation. As always, thanks for sharing. PW

Great Chapter! I haven't really reviewed anything for quite a long while XD
Frankly, I think that Draco's petulance is grating on everyone's nerves... I would have expected that he really understand the situation and mature over the time in which they have been under house arrest leading up to the trials, even Severus have learnt to deal with the bond and allowing the trial to proceed as Harry and Changes planned beforehand, but Draco? Really? Didn't his parents drill some sense into his head about the trial? Perhaps the Stripping of the Wand is humiliating - it would be since it is a legal recognition of the ward as a minor - but how can Azkaban be less humiliating than that? Not only is it punishing, the things that go on in any ordinary prison won't be any milder than the treatment he'll receive after being stripped of his wand... Really, Draco's going to have to get a hold on his stupid pride and naive outlook on the world if he even wants to be seen as an equal to Harry. And the part about wanting to be released from the bond after the trials are done? I have to admit that it really makes me want to hit him over his head... Can he be any more stupid than this? To think that I thought Blaise was the height of stupidity... I wonder how his parents are going to react to his outburst in the court like that.
And now I really pity Harry :( might as well just keep Greg and Pansy (if she wants) in the bond after the trials, the other three are simply not worth the effort... I really hope Harry is going to get some comfort from his friends soon, he's really being stressed out now. Or even better, I hope Draco does something even more idiotic soon and get told off or punished by Auror Stone, that would make my day too *vindictive grin*!
I look forward to the next update!

Good writing!! I did not see the "white haired woman" coming or her suggestion. In fact Draco's whole trial has had fresh ways of looking at his crimes. But Draco isn't taking this part very well. I think Harry...everyone really...is going to hear what Draco feels about it all!

about # 54...
Damn Draco..ever heard of SHUT. UP??!!?? I'm just glad 'they' thought they were doing him harm
with just the breaking of his wand, which is bad enough. But it could have been worse if Draco
would have kept speaking. Just take the eighteen months and run!

I've been reading and enjoying this story for quite some time now and this last chapter (54) is really good. I mean is Draco still going to have to go to Azkaban for this? Because I couldn't help laugh a bit when I read this in the chapter and it would make a lot of sense if what I think is going to happen, happens.
I'm not sure who Draco would be placed with and I'd hope it was Harry or Molly Weasley but who knows. However, I got the strange impression that Ron and Draco in some way set this up so Draco wouldn't be tried as an adult or go to Azkaban for his crimes in some way shape or form and maybe even Hermione was in on it. They just couldn't tell Harry because he might have given it away or something. Then Draco wouldn't have magic for a while or so until he started acting like an adult probably in a few months or so if they were monitored. Of course I could be completely wrong as it is your story but that is the impression I got from it.
Other than my odd suspicion (lol) this is a great story and I can't wait until you update it.
Overall, this is a great story.

What a clever young man, Harry is, with Changes help of course. :-)
Things are looking up a bit for Draco.
