Yeah!!! Lots of Severus doing his thing :)I totally liked it when Harry surprised the kidnappers by saying 'hi' lol. And Pansy is actually interesting... she is usually such a flat character but she isn't here. And though Harry is the central figure in their group, it seems like Draco is going to be the one that connects with them all personally. Severus is his godfather, Pansy and Goyle were his followers in their little group, Blaise his friend, and Harry his rival. He connects to all of them and I think we will see the changes in the group the best when we see his interactions with each of the others. Also a lot of change with Harry and Severus as Severus takes on his role in the group. Love this!

I've been reading quite a few of your fics these few days and I must say that I'm absolutely intrigued by most of your stories! Forced bond stories (and destined mate stories) are quite common now and most of them seem to fall into a pattern of rushed infatuation, but so far your fic has been dealing really well on making the emotional change between the bonded characters, and I must say that your plots are really well laid out, neither being pushing too fast nor dragging too far behind, with suspense interwoven with the emotional overtures of the characters.
Harry, as depicted by your fic, is really what I have imagined to be if his maturation took place following the proceeding of the original storyline - independent, accepting, impulsive at times, and forgiving. I loved the way you have written his struggle between maintaining a distance between his vassals to ensure their freedom and the urge to protect them (whether being propelled by the bond or not), although I really despised the healer advising him to weaken the bond between him and the Slytherins; somehow I felt that she sounded self-justified and greatly misleaded - how could she treat Harry as a horrible person who seeks to enslave people just when he managed to defeat Voldemort! ...great, even my emotions become manipulated by the plot, which means... You have succeeded! XD
At first I was really worried that Snape might try to find a way to end his life, but after reading the chapter in court, it's really comforting to find that Snape has realized that there was someone whom he could take as a comrade, instead of solely being a guardian and tutor to the rest, of course also showing that our dearest hero has finally managed to gain some ability to make rational and well-thought arguments :) I was amazed by the arguments that Harry made in court, many of them resembling thoughts I had when I was originally reading the series, about the self-righteous ministry and corruption within the management and handling of crimes within vs. out of the ministry (not to mention somewhat applicable to our world too). I wonder could Draco learn and grow strong enough to earn a similar position within the bond too? I know that Lucius told him to get to the closest position to the Lord, but as compared to Snape's ability and maturity, how would Draco change to fit himself to an appropriate position within the bond? For some reason, I felt that Pansy, once her thoughts sorted out, has a similar composure to that of Snape, allowing her to be in a better supporting role than that of Draco, Blaise and Goyle. And I thought Draco was being childish and rebellious enough at the start of the fic in his reaction towards the bond, but I never thought that Blaise would be even more immature in his dealing with the bond. I understand that Goyle is unable to readjust himself due to the shock of witnessing the death of his friend, but I thought that Blaise should have known better than defying the bond and attempting to murder his Lord... Would that impact his bond with Harry? Would the bond see him as less able to support The Lord and made him lesser a vassal as compared to the others? -just speculating though, I'd love to find out more when you continue updating the story!
In accordance to the newest chapter, I wonder if Harry had really meant for the Blood Ghost to go after Lucius, or is he planning some other way to make sure that the Blood Ghost does nothing to the Malfoys? Although I had thought very little of Lucius, his actions and expression of love for his son really made me sympathize him a little, it's true that he deserves punishment, but definitely not a private persecution by the Blood Ghost? I'm hoping that Harry has other and in mind, just as he had for seeking out his vassals... I presume it wouldn't be too soon before Harry manages to find out what are the allegiances of the kidnappers and stay close to his vassals for their safety? Though I hope that when he manages to do so, Blaise can at least show some better behaviour... (Can't blame Goyle for the lack of response anyway)
I look forward to your next update!

Hmm will be interesting to see whether the kidnappers are aligned with the ministry or if they have their own agenda and are acting separately. Nice to see Harry realize that working with Skeeter could very well end up being a double edged sword that could either help him or screw things up worse. I get that desperate times call for desperate measures but I feel that the bond is making Harry act very erratically at the moment. Now don't get me wrong, I despise Lucius with all of my being and if this is how he gets taken out then I am all for it, the guy has escaped retribution too many times to count and has racked up a shitload of bad karma but Harry just went against his own creed that everyone be given a fair trial, be them innocent or guilty and this will cause a rift between him and his vassals when it's known that he is ready to sacrifice even THEIR loved ones to save them do to the effects of the bond.

-waits patiently for next chapter-

I have no idea how Harry is going to save them all! Most of the time I can make a pretty good guess but not this time. You have me stumped.

about #16...

1. Well, THAT was interesting. I must admit you really have been doing a good
mix of drama & intrigue lately, especially with this one and...uhh..........
........oh yeah EaF. :-)

2. Damn it really is like pulling teeth talking to a blood ghost, isn't it? :-)
But, I honestly can't believe you had Harry negotiate Lucius' life like that, won't
Draco feel...betrayed?

Ch. 16

Whoa. That seems more than a little cold-blooded of Harry, asking Lucius to sacrifice himself in Draco's stead. Which apparently he has agreed to do. Next chapter should be quite interesting!
