After reading this chapter, the way the Ministry thought when talking to the Aurors actually makes sense. It's reasonable to assume that enemies would try to extract the information through torture, so casting a curse that sets itself in motion during those moments makes sense. Of course they hadn't anticipated one of their own Aurors willingly parting with the information. An interesting twist.
It seems that Harry is quicker to forgive Draco completely for hurting him than vice versa. I do wonder though: did Draco really think that he would have been okay if Harry hadn't casted the counter spell to the one of the Necromancy? Because I get the feeling that some of his pride is hurt because he thought that performing the Necromancy spell was a good idea and Harry saved him from it. Or maybe I'm reading him wrongly.
Anyway, another interesting chapter ^^

It makes sense that you have to consider a place a home before you could use something like that. You mentioning the Potter manor actually makes me wonder what kind of defence that manor would have called up - somehow I don't think it would be quite the same as the mist in the Black manor, considering the Blacks were darker than the Potters.
Anyway, another interesting chapter ^^ At first I had thought Hale was already siding with Harry when she showed him how many Aurors there were, but then I realized she meant it more as a warning that he and Draco were outnumbered.
I'm surprised that the Ministry mentioned the blood use, though. If anything it makes them look more stupid that they couldn't control their own experiments.
Ah well, looking forward to the next one ^^

1. What was Thacker position in the Ministry where no one seemed to notice him?
2. The question is out of the blue...but Harry is without glasses in this story right?
Being an Socrates Auror & all..
3. WHEN is Draco going to confront the issue about how he feels or is HArry going to have
to read his mind?

Kreacher is going to be pissed off that the Aurors dared to destroy something that belongs to the Black home - unless he isn't that fanatical anymore? Somehow I have trouble envisioning that LOL
Was the mist that Draco called upon that aggressive because it was called into existence to defend in general, or was it that aggressive because it was called in the Black home? Sorry if this seems an unnecessary question - I just wondered about that because Draco seemed surprised that it acted so violent towards the Aurors. Which reminds me, if Harry knew that particular incantation, would he be able to call that mist as well, or can only Draco do that because he has the blood of the Blacks in his veins, unlike Harry who was only appointed heir by Sirius? (Although I guess he has some diluted Black blood in him, considering there was a marriage between a Potter and a Black in the past).
Sorry for the weird questions ^^; Anyway I really enjoyed the chapter as usual :)
And thanks for clarifying the bit about the different amount of stories on each site :)

I can't tell who is the most bad ass fighter. Though Harry is winning
hands down, sorry Draco. :-)
Also, I'm really liking the Harry-Draco-Kreacher combo it's about time someone
gave that house elf some respect, Hermione would be proud!

So, basically this muthaf*** just wants more power & he's looking for the
strongest bloodline to get it. He doesn't know about Harry being a descendant,
does he?
..and hey, even if Harry isn't one, just go with it. Now, that's a future idea
for a story that hasn't been done in a long time. :-I
Is Draco ever going to say how he felt about what Harry did to him? Because something
like that would cause a little resentment along the way.
