Please get Snape over to the Dursleys soon. I can't tell you how sad Harry's situation makes me feel. He desparately needs someone to care for him and Snape has had a horrible life and needs love also. They would be so perfect for each other and would understand each other better than anyone else.

Rather violent start to what may be an interesting story. Very disturbing the violence inflicted upon Harry. Will the food provided be able to sustain him enough that he can heal? Or are you relying on his magic to keep his alive? Looking forward to reading more of your story.

Ohhh Harry! When is Severus going to come rescue him? I hope he punishes the Dursleys & Albus for putting him there & keeping him there.

Such a sad beginning. I'm interested to see where this goes next, though I do hate when Hedwig gets killed off because I have such a close bond with my own pets.

I was not prepared for that and due to that, I don't think I will continue reading. While the writing is good, not being able to prepare myself has put me off. Perhaps you should consider a more specific abuse warning. As it is, you have many indicators as to make me wonder if this will be too convoluted to follow. While you state a "traumatic" encounter, that doesn't not automatically equate with such harsh abuse.

I thought your warnings were perfectly adequate. I really like the first chapter! Heartbreaking to lose Hedwig and Harry's things (the cloak! family photos! wand! eek). I hope Harry can weather the storm, so to speak; looks like it's shaping up to be a good story. :) Thanks for sharing it!
