...and when all is said & done, despite all the posturing and schemes, Lucius Malfoy is simply a man who loves his
son and wants what is best for him.
I can't wait for the dinner though I was hoping for a huge dinner party where the 'Pure'bloods can witness Harry's
strength, but that will come later right? In the meantime, will Lucius test HArry's strength, if not then...why not?
It will be fun to see Lucius with 'egg splattered all over his face'. :-)

Hmm well here's hoping that Harry agreeing to meet up with Lucius and Narcissa wont cause a bigger rift between him and his friends and mess with his reputation further. Putting aside that it was Harry's testimony that got them there,this was a heavily bigoted family that:
-willingly and happily aided and abetted a man who was essentially the wizard version of Hitler
-who's patriarch was publicly known to have served Voldemort in the first war and then lied about it
-used intimidation and bribery to rise in the Ministry
-knowingly endangered the life of a 12 YEAR OLD girl and was an indirect cause of the whole debacle that was second year.
-attempted to curse Harry outside the headmasters office over losing a freaking house elf....that he abused mind you,
-tried to get Hagrid sacked and sent to Azkaban
-Went right back to serving the monster at the very first call.
-Threatened to kill Harry and his friends if they did not hand over the prophecy.
-Didn't even finish serving his first sentence at Azkaban
-(granted this was after voldemort essentially moved in and took over the mansion) Several innocent people were held and tortured in their cellar for close to a year.
-(this ones for the whole family) Was quite literally only a few feet away as Hermione was brutally tortured by Bellatrix.
-Given that he served in both wars has more than likely tortured and/or killed quite a few people.
Phew...totally did not mean for that to go that long lol. But yeah long story short Lucius grinds my gears. Draco I give a small pass to because lets be real, while he was a bully/bigot/coward there were lines he could not and would not cross even when his families lives hung in the balance and refused to name the trio when they were brought to the manor. Was a stupid kid who made a stupid choice and learned from it. Narcissa grew slightly on me and over time stopped being, and pardon my french, "that stuck up racist bitch" and became "that racist bitch who had the brass balls to LIE to freaking Voldemort" who it is known could easily get into peoples minds. At the end, her love for her son was more important than a madman's genocidal cause. And thus she made a step towards redemption and gave the Light side one last chance to win the war. Lucius.........beyond the occasional showing that he loved his wife and son.....was a cunt......a massive....freaking....CUNT who while he may have lost his reputation got to keep his freedom.
This was quite literally my reaction when I first read that Rowling said due to Narcissa lying to Voldemort that the WHOLE family got off:

Wow, ok kind of went off on a tangent there but now I'm back and here is the "true" review.
As always another spectacular chapter although it was sad to see Harry lament that he may very well start to lose people. It truly is lonely at the top eh? Also will we get any interaction between Briseis and Hermione? I only ask because I am constantly visualizing them as harry's shoulder devil/angel and them both being proud intelligent women but with different views on how Harry should be doing things.
-waits patiently for next chapter-

I gave it a bit so I could read a few chapters at a time; still enthralled! Lucius is protective of his son (he better after what he almost lost during the war) but I'm curious as to how Narcissa will take this. I'm sure she would approve of the path her son is going if they weren't still smarting from the after effects of their position in the war; she should be proud of the steps he's made and the positive view he is looked upon right now. "Should be" is the key word there, since I have no clue how you will write Narcissa to be; and it is your story. I imagine the dinner will be quite tense and I'm anxious to see how it goes. Will Harry have to take a Floo call and, because he'll be shielding the call from others, offend his hosts? Will they be in awe, though not show it, of his strength of power? Will they accept that Draco knows what he's doing? I can't wait to read and find out! Looking forward to it!

Liked the chapter a lot. Set up a dinner with the Malfoys including Draco which should be interesting.

I feel honest pity for the Ministry. If I had been one of those 'Hit Wizards', I would have dropped to the ground and beg Dark Lord Potter to have mercy on me! Minister Tillipop is a fool. I hope the rest of the British wizards and witches see that soon.

I'm so sorry i havent reviewed in such a long time. i have been newly employed and my life is in shambles. that was a beautiful chapter. And I just love it when harry shows the extent of his strength. and when draco is in awe every time he does. my favourite part really. love how you broke them with the prrrringgg. could have sworn it harry had a cellphone on him! haha.

That was fun. It won't go down well with the Ministry though. They act as if they are the only ones that can do illegal things. Loved the interaction between Draco and Harry.
