I don't know who in the Ministry put Yaxley up to this but I think he still has something Harry doesn't know about that could really do him harm if not death.

about #36...

Ain't got much to say about 'her'. Anyway, glad Ron has more
sense than what he shows most of the time, Harry needs a 'rock' who stands
by him...and is not afraid to tell him he's wrong. Would Ron be considered
a Grand Duke...Marque..if he had a position in HArry's court or you haven't
gotten that far?

This is the first time that I like Ron in a story. He seems balanced and stolid. Hermione? Not so much...when you come down to it only getting rid of Draco will suit her. Even if it breaks Harry's heart...even if he hasn't even tried to do anything evil. Her way or the highway.

Poor Harry... that has to be so hard for his friends to leave him like that when he's just trying to do the right thing like he has always done. For them to accept him for years and suddenly not... it will be very hard for him. I think he's going to focus even more on Draco and Hogwarts and the people he is responsible for which probably wasn't what Hermione intended but it will definitely happen.

Hermione is such a baby. What did she think would happen? I love how everyone expects Harry to be anyone but himself. They know deep down what he is but when slapped n the face with it they are like "OMG! You are not the Harry I know and love!!" Hopefully he finds a counter for Draco.

about $35...

What..the...hell???? O_o

Did I miss something reading this? Why is Hermione acting like that? I mean, what
the hell did she want him to use his powers for...the liberation of house elves???

She's being COMPLETELY stupid! If he wasn't using his powers for Something at all, she would have a problem!
Can't she tell this is still her best friend? They're in the same damn school for god's sake!!!

...I know, Ron fucked the smarts right out of her, that HAS to be it.

Yes, that sounds harsh, but she came out left field with that shit.

Ch. 35

Huh??? What the hell just happened? I don't understand Hermione at all. Just what has Harry done that is so underhanded that it would justify that extreme reaction? Maybe I need to go back and read from the beginning because I was frankly flabbergasted by Hermione's actions in this chapter.

Naw, no need to explain or it would be too much to explain, I'm having a fine time with your story as is. It was just a thought. I have to say Hermione is making me mad...stubborn, self rightous, as usual only she can be 100% right. I hope she & Ron do go and think it through. Maybe they will figure it out!

Ouch, my feels were all over the place in this chapter.

I knew the confrontation was coming, but I thought it would be more like this

I adored the talk though and am glad you dedicated a whole chapter to it, it needed to happen. The thing is, BOTH of them were right and wrong in some cases and made some good points towards each other. Harry IS letting his personal feelings and vendettas cloud his judgement and making him impulsive. When you have the kind of power to do what he can do, you CANNOT let yourself go off like that at every provocation or get into the mindset that just because you are stronger than everyone else that it means you can do what you like. Harry is in his mind trying to do what he feels is right but not focusing enough on the ramifications. I recall and old saying:

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions"

Hermione on the other hand is not helping matters by leaving and by doing so taking away Harry's biggest morality chain. With her and Ron at Hogwarts they could at least keep Harry more grounded and talk sense when he loses his temper. Now with them gone Harry will be more inclined to listen to people who have no moral qualms about playing dirty and adapting a more eye for an eye mentality. The talk also shows how she cannot and will not resort to using morally grey tactics which is both a strength and a weakness.

Broke my heart to see a friendship that was legendary take a hit like this. From Harry's perspective he is seeing his best friend start to fear and distrust him while Hermione see's a man who has been like a brother to her going down a path she can't follow and slowly becoming the very thing they sacrificed so much to destroy. I would love to see how Ron see's things and whether or not he will actually leave with Hermione. Poor guy stuck choosing between the 2 people he loves the most.

Hopefully they can reconcile and not come into conflict. Harry may be nearly all powerful but Hermione is called the "brightest witch of her age" for a reason and given ample time and planning can show that she damn well earned the title and that it is not just for show. Hell those boys would have been dead 10 times over throughout the years without her lol.

-waits patiently for the next chapter-

I really think that Hermione is being stupid here. Harry has not done ONE THING that is underhanded by the conventional definition of the word. Everything he has done has been out in the open.

Yes, he has acted like a 'dictator' but only when he has been defending himself, his friends, or Hogwarts. Hermione needs to realize that when you are not talking about actually killing someone, there is a lot of 'grey area' in the world. That area of killing someone is the only 'black' area.

A good story and I hope to see more in the future.
