"Pareo" has so much promise! I love the premise of this (so much that I started to read despite my rule against unfinished fics)! I feel like Hermione, anxious and curious to find what the next encounter will be like. :)
I have skimmed through the forum postings. It's very interesting to see the back and forth interaction between author and reader, without it interfering with the fanfiction's 'space'. To be honest I hadn't yet questioned the curse itself (maybe because you distracted me!) and instead just accepted it as is. This story feels like there's still a lot yet to be written, and based on your quality of writing, I'm sure any further explanation about Pareo will be discussed in some future chapters.
I'd also like to reassure you regarding your "dubcon/rape" concerns. I felt that you frequently mentioned Hermione's interest and curiosity with her meetings with Draco. While she IS doing some things she is uncomfortable with, she hasn't shown any signs of self-degradation or depression over the physical interactions. While she is mad to be put in the situation, she isn't totally against it, and in fact welcomes the meetings. She also hasn't lashed out against Draco's actions, other than by embarrassment and when she was ordered not to speak with him (which is a prime example of her being unhappy with an order, and confronting him about it). It could be argued that Hermione feels like she has no other options than to go along with Draco's bidding, or that she is making excuses for the situation because it really could be /so/ much worse. But again, she seems to time and time again enjoy and look forward to their liaisons. And I don't recall where she has outright asked him not to do sexual things to her, instead she's kind of accepted it as is.
Maybe I'm making excuses for the situation, and I guess that in itself could indicate "dubcon". Meh. Point is, I see it as Draco is forcing her to do things she is initially uncomfortable with, but that she still enjoys. So far, it hasn't been an issue for me at all. It didn't even register to me that it'd be an issue to begin with.

Oh sweet dubiously consenting hermione, why won't she just give in? Draco is getting into this. I keep wondering who will find out first, got my money on potter. He is somehow everywhere at once. Cause he is Harry fucking potter. Love this story! More pwease!

As someone who appreciates well-written fic, and enjoys nicely crafted, smartly paced story telling, I want to encourage you to take as much time as you need between updates. Good things are worth the wait. And, so far, I've found this story to be a very good thing, indeed. Thanks for sharing it with us.
