I think people were probably referring to the canon fact that boys couldn't get into the girls' dorm at all, the stairs were charmed. It always cracked me up that girls could wander into the boys' dorm without any problem.
The developing friendships are great and I actually really enjoy the bits with Harry and Draco -- Ron has always seemed as bigoted an ass as Draco ever acted, so it won't surprise me to learn he isn't under some kind of influence, just a cretin.

good chapter. i think Ron is gona get worse before the end, and i hope he is put in his place soon. So cant wait too see what they get each other for christmas. so cant wait to see this pocket watch that harry and dray r gona be working on together. Kinda nice that the 4 houses minus ron's little band of troublemakers are getting together.

Did I miss something? Which Gryffindors were removed from the dorm? I'm assuming there must have been an investigation, so I'm surprised that the guilty party/parties haven't been identified. It's a pretty safe bet that Lavender is involved, the vapid, petty bitch.
Later: Okay, figured out that you were referring to Harry and Hermione, et al, moving into the Slytherin dorms. Sorry, sometimes I'm a bit slow. Loved the bit with Severus sitting by Harry while he slept. Sweet.
