You brought out a side of Hermione that I think a lot of girls can connect with. The dark, almost sinister effects of being underappreciated. It's something that's present in my own life, and you seem to make it worse at times, and at others it's as if it's gone. Your latest chapter made me want to curl up on my couch and cry all day. Your book has been MY distraction (as well as Ani Difranco- I took the time to search her up, and she's amazing), and it's also helped me realize that I really need to stop trying to distract myself, and just confront my problems... No amount amount of music, tea, and stories about Draco is going to make them disappear for good. I think that you would make an excellent novelist, and I hope that you persue it, or if you don't, that you continue to grace Fan Fiction with your stories.

So is there a wizarding version of Dr. Drew? Because we need a serious intervention right now. I have pandora on while I read, and somehow it switched from my normal mix to Pink but thats besides the point, the song sober reminds me of Hermione. Just a thought since you said you were wondering about songs ha idk how it would work but it reminds me of where shes at. Anyway back to the story-One thing I can say about distractions is that if she keeps on relying on them instead of really working through things she'll end up desperate to find new ones and wont know who she is anymore without them. She seems to be at the brink of that point but has her water wings on in the form of Draco since they do talk just skim things over. I tend to revert to making jokes out of a bad situation because seeing people smile makes me think things are alright so I get why she's looking for ways to feel normal. I haven't been through a war, but I've pretty much been through hell and back and it truly does change you even if you deny it you only end up living a half life until you find a way to accept where you're at. This is where I feel like we need the wizarding Dr. Drew, someone to knock some sense into her thick head lol. Can't wait to see how you keep this going. As much as it sucks that she got to the point of faking it, you have to admit Draco would be a lovely distraction from most any situation.

Like what I've read so far. Although, I didn't think Nirvana had been around long enough to have recorded on vinyl records. Unless I misread what she was listening to the music with or you weren't talking about the American band that I'm familiar with.

Oh Kain, now put me on your knee and call me a naughty girl.
I agree with you, Ginny isn't the ulitimate Mary-sue. In my over zealous witch burning of Ginny I overlooked the marvel that is Bella Swan. I apologize. I haven't mistaken canon Ginny for fan written Ginny though. Even growing up reading the books I never much understood what her purpose being there was. I am trying to but it really isn't a very fruitful quest. I do believe she is spoiled and that Ron is often overlooked by their mother since she got what she wanted. But that's just how my controling personality clashes with Molly's and Ginny's, I guess I will always see them as evil one way or another.
It is as you said though my authoritatively delicious Kain, everyone is right to their own opinion. Mwah! Love you.

Oh how I love to see men cry. It makes me so happy, freaks my friends out though. It's weird though since I love strong dominate men. Must have something to do with my daddy issues and believing that men don't have feelings. Draco baby crying is just delicious though. So happy for hermione, finally saying the love words. I was freaking a bit cause they were fighting but that stuff happens. Still worried about the characters in the shadow, I keep wigging myself out with wacky scenarios. Can't wait for the next chapter.

-Reads Aranel's review-......hmm, well...ahem while I have NEVER had a fellow reviewer respond to one of my reviews like that....I must say I do quite enjoy being called "authoritatively delicious " lol. Yes henceforth I shall be known as the "authoritatively delicious Kain". Now as for putting you on my knee and calling you a naughty girl..............my dear, do not tempt me ;D.

NOW on to my review,

..........You just went out of your way to make us cry this chapter didn't ya...DIDNT'T YA!?!? I mean I was holding strong throughout most of it and even laughed at the digs to Hermione's hair, which I visualized as the short haircut Emma Watson had not too long ago. But then oh...you just haaaad to bring on the feels and have Draco finally break down. I don't think even Draco though his father would sink to that level. Hell in the books and movies the ONLY redeemable quality Lucius had was that he genuinely cared about his wife and child. Without that he is a full on monster. But hey ya know there is one silver lining to this, now that Draco has fully broken down and all of his walls have crumbled, he can now build himself back up without the shadow of his father obscuring him or the mistakes of the past weighing him down. A chance to be his own man and not live by stereotypes.

Lastly just got a few questions for ya, if ya don't mind answering that is. How well known is the Toravasi to an outsider? I mean are they a hot topic of Wizarding rumor and are they actually inspiring change throughout the community to even a small degree? Are Slytherins slowly starting to integrate with a few of the other houses or are they still looked at with distrust and at times outright hatred? I am sure there are plenty of people, students or otherwise who lost loved ones to people who fought for the Dark Lord and after spending close to a year in a Death eater run school where the Slytherins probably earned a worse reputation would just love to even the score. In the first Tovarasi pow wow Isobel even admitted that she did whatever the Carrows told her to do, which could have ranged from many things from simple bullying to low level torture and that must have painted a target on her back.

This is another thing I love about your story, it has such a grey and grey morality to it and nothing is ever black and white. Do Slytherins and family member of Death Eaters deserve the treatment they are being given? Or do the 'light' side need to practice what they preach and extend the olive branch and show the other side that their is always a better way.

-waits patiently for next update-

Sincerely,
The authoritatively delicious Kain.
