All of Hermione's intimate questions about him just show him that she is interested in if she can fit into his life and how. I think it was a good sign that he sat with her on his porch and that he voluntarily joined her at the table, answering her personal questions. I also don't blame him for not wanting to try to pursue something with her while he's being forced to have intimate contact with her. They are going to have to try to work backward, as the physical intimacy and moving in together normally doesn't precede the 'getting to know you' phase.

I do sort of like how this Snape is such a contrast. He's aloof and closed up to all outward appearances, but open in regards to who he might consider as a partner. He claims that 'an orifice is an orifice' but I don't see him screwing everything in his path, so he wants a bit more than just an 'orifice'. He probably feels emotionally safe with her, as well. She lets him put up his defensive walls and stands without any but her shyness and uncertainty. He might shake his head at her inability to spar with him, but he knows she's not going to play games at his expense, which probably is refreshing to the guy after everything.

@chapter 09: Wow. o.O Your latest chapter almost rendered me speechless. In a VERY good way!^^ I can't put in words how much I enjoy this awesome fic, you never seem to run out of fantastic ideas and erotic fantasy products(I'm still curious to learn about the red scarf. Personally, I especially enjoyed the bit about Sev instructing Hermione on the blowjob. You know, this story keeps getting more and more impressive. The magical products are really imaginative, and you've written Severus really well here -- I can't figure him out at all, any more than Hermione can!
