Love this story. I love Severus and Hermione stories. You have done a wonderful job portraying them both. My heart breaks a little more each time Nigel weasels his way into the story, though. I'm really starting to hate him. I felt so bad for Hermione when she walked in on them. I hope Severus starts to understand that even though she may be lacking in experience, she knows how she feels with him and that it's different than anything before. I just think he needs a little more openness from her maybe. Can't wait until the next chapter! I'm off to read some other ss/hg stories in attempts to heal my heart from that scene. I literally felt her pain...happy writing! Don't leave us hanging too long please.

I have to say, I'm a bit frustrated with both Hermione and Severus right now. Hermione has been rather demanding to Severus - asking him to have sex then asking him to cuddle with her even if he seems unwilling. I do agree with him that she might not know what she wants. Additionally, I dislike how derogatory she is Nigel (and as an extension - people who are gay) just because she is jealous of his relationship with Severus. As well, I was uncomfortable with how she seemed to disregard his opinion about whether he even wanted sex by taking his biological reaction for mental consent.

At the same time, Severus is making me want to knock his head against a wall. I found it very strange that he said that she was objectifying him - did wanting to cuddle with him not indicate that she might want something more than sex? And despite how he told her that she didn't consider that he might not want sex on his day off, he did have Nigel come for a lesson. That just seems kind of hypocritical and confusing. He also went to cuddle with her after she walked in on him with Nigel - and was playful with her. That just seems out of bounds of consoling a housemate and then he turns down the possibility of a relationship. I think Severus is really just as culpable as Hermione in not knowing what he wants, and like her, needs to decide. Lastly, asking her to leave and not be in the same house is fine since they both need time away from each other. Asking her to go out to have sex is not alright. I'm not sure how he thinks that will solve anything.

As far as things go, I'm a bit disappointed in how immature the two are being (as you can probably see). I really do hope they have a nice long talk soon.

Prose-wise, I think the semicolon usage has gotten better :) Make sure you keep an eye out for the '"...blah blah blah," He said.' typos though!

I also want to say that it's great that you show that Severus - and by extension, pass on the message that - is accepting of LGBTQIA+ relationships while pointing out some of the stigma and potential misconceptions. As well, that you for updating so quickly! I look forward to reading the next chapter :)

WHAT! This story has me on the edge of my seat. I LOVE IT! What is going on between Severus and Hermione? Is she losing her mind? He seems to be taunting her and trying to get a rise out of her. There is no way that his lesson was conveniently the same day and time as her return after their fight. I completely understand her insanity. Personally, i can't even figure out Severus' deal at the moment. Anyway, hope that you update soon. love this story.

At the end, is Severus implying that she find someone else to have sex with that night?

Wow! This was a real rollercoaster of a chapter! Well done! I love Severus, but his strange vagueness about what he's thinking and feeling would start to wear on me if I was Hermione. I can't wait for the next one!

In the beginning the storyline seems insanely absurd and I can not believe you make it work so well. So kudos to you on that.

As to the last two chapters:
Both Hermione and Severus made each other have physical contact of some form against the other ones will. It made me feel uncomfortable when Hermione did it first but now it just seem to be part of their power play.

Also while my initial reaction was "poor Hermione" on walking on the *lesson* the way she talked about Nigel was extremely unpleasant. Also she was thrown out of the house in a nightgown? How is she supposed to find casual sex partner dressed like that? (Not that I think she would go trying to find casual sex after that exchange. I was simply saying Severus isn't being all that logical himself)

Also it seemed weird she couldn't hex him without the wand as I thought wand was needed for the transfiguration of the hammock. But that's nitpicking and my cannon knowledge is probably compromised at this point.

The whole yes-no game Severus keeps playing is driving me mad so I hope you're satisfied ;)

OMG!!! Why did you do this Severus?!
I'm not really sure I understand their behavior.... They need to talk, really talk I think...

Oh and I thought about the "milk duds" in the last chapter & I think Severus is not really comfortable about it because it replicates motherhood and breastfeeding and maybe it's to close to home for his comfort... (regarding his own mother) (?)

Anyway THANK YOU & Update soon, please ;-)

Oh, NO HE DIDN'T!!!! Did he just tell her she had to go have sex with a stranger? Kick her out in the cold in her nightgown, without even shoes, a wand, or a knut to her name??? He'll be lucky if she only moves out. She had BETTER eat those scallops and not even leave one for him! He doesn't deserve them. And she also knows this curse with birds...

He did lie. She has had reason to trust him in the past and in the present. That he is insistent on making her rethink her trust, I don't know what the end game is to that. If she does sleep with some stranger, that's not going to help her. Empty sex is just that, and sex with one person when you are in love with another is awful, no matter how 'good' it is. The fallout from an emotionally traumatized woman having a coerced booty call might be too much for Severus to handle. Either he thinks she won't be harmed by this or he knows she won't do it and it will make her think. I don't know which or if it is an entire other motivation.

He's in the doghouse with me right now, though. Throwing her out in that neighborhood!!! Better hope Molly doesn't find out...

ps, Hermione was a little rapey for a minute, though. So... just wanted to make that clear that I didn't miss her bad behavior.

Oh, no, nasty Severus, throwing her out! This was a twist I was not expecting, as things had been progressing so nicely. And I was surprised to hear he had been with more men than women. Hopefully he is just protecting himself from how he really feels about her...
