I think this chapter must be my favourite of the lot, even with the whole Charlie and Flinge thing.

I don't quite know where to start, but I'll just try and get it all out :) I found your story a while ago and since it hadn't been updated for months I thought it was abandoned. So it made me really happy when I stumbled upon it again and there were new chapters! <3

I never read a story that is so well written, both physically and emotionally thrilling. I love how their twisted relationship slowly, almost innocently develops and how they got seemingly closer until it all fell apart somehow now. And how you make me question the motives and actions of either Hermione or Severus - or even both.

Since it's her perspective I identify more with Hermione and though rationally I can understand Severus' arguments about how she objectifies him and doesn't know his secrets and so on, I still feel for her a lot. She clearly doesn't know what she really wants - although it's not hard to guess... getting to know Severus better, getting closer on a different level, having a deeper relationship additionally to the sex. Maybe it was the sex that stirred her interest but to me it was obvious rather early that she tried to know him better, understand his actions and reasons and feelings. It's not as if she kept it purely physical and mistook that for love.

She might be conservative (but I agree here) to expect that he wouldn't have sexual relations outside of theirs, but then he never promised anything and he never said he was faithful to her. However, it's understandable for me that she gets jealous and even mad.

To me, it seems as if he knows exactly what she wants (which is why it's like he's teasing her to ask her to name it) and even likes her in a way, too, but he tries to scare her away somehow. He lets her get close to him, move in, have shower sex, apparently enjoys their coupling, then suddenly pushes/scares her away by bringing someone else into the game and even goes as far as to bring that person to his house and not locking his door. It's like he was testing her reactions. Trying really bad to show her what he "really is".

Yes, she's more inexperienced than him and he never held it against her before. But now he tells her she should get some more experience before being with him? And throws her out without anything?

He's very unfair by treating her this way. Yes, she pushed, but he allowed her to live with him and even told her about his attraction. Physically, he really opened up. And then he basically tells her she's just one in so many and not even of his preferred sex. Wow.

Now that she's at her "lowest", I am desperately waiting for Hermione to kinda "rise". To get a grip of the situation and prove herself. To be more confident (but not in the way that she tries to have sex with him) and vouch for her feelings. To make him take her serious.

Looking forward to an update! :) Don't make us wait too long.

(Oh here's part two :D)

This whole story should really be called "Sexual Tension".
You are a master at writing the tension that is so obvious
between the two of them.

You know - I don't know what to say. Or mostly how to structure all thoughts that filling my head after last chapter into something understandable and logical. )))
So first of all I want to thank you! In the end of the chapter I was so filled with emotions, I wanted to DO smth so much! Mostly slap Severus for his behavior. =)))
And I want to clarify that I didn't see Hermione's actions as rape, because as she said herself he could easily stop her. So it was his choice.
And yes, she is looking like a nympho, but, as I see it, in her mind it's her only way to get to Severus.
Now after all that happened I think that it would be best for her to move out for some time. Maybe it will bring her some relief and clear her thoughts, and also maybe just maybe Severus will miss her a little (however I doubt it). ))
And also I think that if Hermione will try to hide her emotions and feelings for him, it can turn tables. Because to change his behavior, Severus needs some shaking.

Once again, thank you so much! I love this chapter (and the whole story)!

Ooooh my gosh I started reading yesterday and I'm literally obsessed. Pleeeease upload ASAP - I'm addicted!! When I finished chapter 15 I was panicking about whether or not this is an abandoned story - it was almost as bad as reading the last page of HP itself!
I am really impressed by how you manage to use their given personalities - this is the best Snape - Granger shift I've ever read!
Oh, and could you add me to the mailing list? Thank you so much! ~ Rose

hermione saying "Your body seems to think differently" made me slightly sick. it reminded me too much of 'your lips say "no" but your body is saying "yes" ' that rapists use...which may or may not have been your intention. but both of them seriously gotta learn to stop when somebody tells them to stop though.

after that last update i have no idea which direction this story is gonna take but i'm both excited and worried, and also anxious for the next chapter!

Great chapter! I wonder if Hermione will try to make Severus jealous or if that will back fire on her. He did tell her to go find another man and leave for the night. I wonder what's the reason for Severus wanting Hermione out of the house.

I might be well off the mark but....... I think that Severus is the creator of the line of Novelty products. He has certainly explored and mastered the world of adult sex games in the muggle world, and now that he's unemployed and down on funds, he's created a business model in a field he knows a lot about for the wizarding world. With magic added to the 'toys' a lot more avenues and explorations are available. Such possibilities that were absent with mundane products that would have eventually frustrated any 'normal' magical so inclined.

I also suspect that Severus is behind the line of products in that he was suspiciously already at the shop, in the work room even though there was no indication that the advertisement was going to be answered that evening. Hermione also mentions that she never saw a separate ad for a male. I also doubt Severus would ingest any test product before reviewing the potion recipe thoroughly.

During the day, George is busy running a successful business. When the heck does George have time to tinker with the novelty product line? yet, every evening, immediately at the close of his joke shop, he's got new products to test and shows off finished products in packaging that could have only been worked on during the day. Then we 'see' that Severus is suspiciously absent during the day. His door is always shut. He could be working out the kinks down in his potion's room.

Additionally, Fred was what 19 or 20 when he died? And prior to his death, he and his brother were busy opening up a shop, creating prank items for sale and participating in the war efforts, when the hell did he have time or the skill set or time to create these sex toys and in secret. No, I think Severus approached George with a business proposition. Being a business man, George saw an opportunity to make money and a means to pay back his perceived personal debt to Severus as well as help a fellow Order member out......

Was Severus' foray with Nigel two fold? One, to force a confrontation with Hermione and her feelings as well as working out a new product?

I'd really LOVE to see some interactions with other magicals. Perhaps have Ron show up at the convention to support his brother's new line? And have him unknowingly oogle Hermione....
