Wow such a moving read this is the 1st fanfiction to have me in tears loved it
Caution: Spoilers below.
Not gonna lie. Almost did not make it through the poetry and song lyrics sections. Well, OF COURSE, I went and researched those words and lyrics not specifically spelled out, be still my heart! (Grin.) Had to pause, clear the boulder-sized lump in my throat, grab a sip of water, a tissue, and continue. It tested my strength to endure the final chapter.
Totally experienced a surprise ending! I trust my authors. I accept whichever way and how ever the story unfolds, and know the author will get us there. Often, I'll avoid warnings and reviews to keep spoilers at bay, and appreciate the story as it progresses, however tragic or redeeming. The last chapter was acute in its suffering and brave for daring to go there.
But how joyful was the epilogue! Bravo for rescuing our suffering hearts!
Once again you've written a lovely, if sad, chapter that somehow seems... given the theme of this story... a bit hopeful? No, not hopeful... but somehow satisfying given the circumstance.
Beth
This chapter was especially hard to read...
Beth
I am glad that this torture is at an end. And I hope that Hermione and Severus will have the last word...
Beth
Oh my. It's after 3:00 AM and I am just delighted at the way this epilogue has answered my prayer. You had me convinced me that Severus had died, and I had only ventured to hope that Hermione had become pregnant with Severus' child... but thank you from the bottom of my fangirl heart for letting Hermione be the brightest witch of her age, and for letting Severus be the loving wizard he is, and that they will be able to live out their days in such a lovely place filled to the brim with love. Well done!
Beth
This story is a new one for me. I saw it in a Facebook post and here I am. I know it's likely to end sadly, but I just have to know.
Beth
I love that Severus wanted Hermione to share his bubble bath. I also hope she will quickly join him in the bath.
Beth
This chapter tugged at my heart, but it was wonderful to see how much they enjoyed each other. How can a story that is leading to such a sad ending bring such satisfaction in the interim?
Beth
This broke my heart.
