It is fantastic that the "loyal" followers of Voldemort that are conspiring against him, and are spies for the Order of the Phoenix, are none other than Lucius Malfoy, and Severus Snape. It is also brilliant that Lucius is also the Minister of Magic.

Poor Hermione to have suffered through the humiliation of being stared at, by strangers, while naked at the auction - no wonder she was terrified.
It was great that Rabastan set it up so that Lucius and Severus were practically guaranteed success in acquiring Hermione.
