Love this chapter. Little constructive criticism, a little too heavy on the "sub to be" bits. But I've done that in my writing too, so kinda can't talk about that. *unhappy grumble at that* Can't wait until the next chapter. I hope Lucius is able to Dom Harry too. That'd be sweet. I can already see him *Lucius* holding a struggling Harry against him by the throat with his back to him rubbing him through his pants. Ahh, what a twisted demented mind I have.

Chiming in as the voice of a sub, I feel that you have been given an excessively hard review for the topic of self harm given the context the act of cutting was used in. Since Harry is exploring sexuality and kink in the process of trying to find his way, to my perspective, the way you wrote it looks more like experimental masturbation then actual "cutting", and no more in the self harm category then using nipple clamps for masturbation, witch could also draw blood depending on type. Additionaly, I would argue that among other acts, a Dom to a masochistic sub MAY use knife play and blood play during sex as well as many other methods of pain that could inflict bleeding, such as piercings(covered in B-MOD) and vampire gloves, and the reader is warned of fetish, witch may include bleeding for sexual pleasure.

It is my view that given the other warnings included, one sensitive to the topic of self harm should not read S&M in the first place, given that masters in such could ask a sub to harm himself, and while I do not personally find blood erotic, I had excepted that it may be present in your story prior to reading, just as I do not engage in masochism, but saw the warning. Given this is a web site dedicated to adult writing run by fans(amateurs and volunteers), all readers run the risk of crossing text that offends their sensibilities, (like in my case, a cat being killed ritualistically in one fic) and by joining the site at all, I feel we should attempt to handle touchy topics AS ADULTS rather then crying when an author pursues a creative direction we do not agree with.

I must say, I thought this would be the typical cliche d/s story that I've read a thousand times but I was pleasently surprised. I must aslo say I was glad you killed off Ginny, never liked her. But maybe thats just the slash girl in me raging the Rowling ended it as she did when there was SEOOOOOooooo much obvious sexual tension between Draco and Harry. Regardless, I have enjoyed what you have put out so far and look forward to reading this. My only real problem is that chapters seem kind of short and your updates are rather slow which often leads me to believe that you have abandoned this story all together since I have seen this happen more times than I care to admit. I hope this is not the case with you and you actually finish it.
As to the long and in all honesty, asinine review from that girl about how she was offended and blah blah. I wouldn't take it much to heart really. Some people, for whatever reason, go about looking for things to be offended about. i myself have had a problem with self harm for years and do have the intelligance to realise that the context you put it in what meant to be a character development and not an advertisment for people to link such things together in a sexual situation. While many subs get off on a little whipping, Doms don't cut them and don't ever want them to link the feeling together. The act of self harm comes from deep seated depression that cutters have. They self harm simply feel ANYTHING since depression can leave them numb. Not to mention the endorphines released become adictive to an already unstable phsyci. Next time she gets on her soap box tell her to shut up. I would love to kick her off of it. Lol.

interesting start to things, i think some of it was a little rushed in the beginning at least as far as "oh you're a sub and masochist" "oh, that's what my problem is" the last chapter though showing harry's conflicted mindset about what he's discovering about himself and the way snape handles him was well done though. keep up the good work, i look forward to seeing where you go with this
