Loving this story! I love how immature Harry is. Don't get me wrong--I'd like to smack him on the ass and make him sit down and *listen* to Severus--but he's true to his words and actions are true to those of a teenager (particularly one just acknowledging their sexuality.. nevermind the fact that he has had precious few examples of positive, healthy relationships in his life thus far). I suspect Severus' feelings run deep enough that he questioned Harry to gain confidence that putting himself in a vulnerable position with Harry wouldn't be a mistake. Even greasy dungeon bats need some reassurance!
Like the reviewer above me, I'm not sure how I feel about the normalcy part of Severus' acceptance lesson. Rather than focusing on feeling normal, I'd argue that it's more important to understand that there is no such thing as "normal" at all. Everyone is different. Absolutely everyone. That's the only normal part about it! :)
That's my two cents, at least. :D I am REALLY enjoying this. Can't wait for the next update!

Very nicely written story. I particularily enjoyed the fact that Harry really is acting like a seventeen year old. He is emotional and doesn't really know how to express his emotions: he really does remind me of a seventeen year old guy. Although I do have to question the idea of normality that you have introduced. There is a way of seeing yourself as not normal but in a POSITIVE way . Why should harry have to consider himself normal. Isn't it amazing that we are NOT normal? How boring would it be if we all did the same and acted the same?

Wow, you did well on this. Now Harry has to accept that he has feelings for Sev, and that Sev has feelings for him. I wonder if Sev will take his own words to heart though? Let go of his guilt and shame, after all its been years and he's more than atoned for his misdeeds. Keep up the good work, I look forward to the next.

I feel so bad for Harry. He doesn't understand the rules because no one has ever been honest and open with him. It is like they all have the secret keys to the game but won't let Harry see all of the pieces. Snape, at least, did not just take Harry's virginity. But was that for Harry or for himself. How far will he go to train Harry?

well, it seems har is suffering a bit from romeo syndrome here. haste indeed, makes waste.
Snape shoulda realised thought that har isn't very good at the baby steps thing and by not confirming and acting one what har's feeling, he's as good as denying it.
I can understand har's frustrated but he's lashing out like a little kid, which probably isn't surprising considering that's the level his emotional control is at.
poor har, he's so frustrated that he's overwhelmed by this stuff and snape is always in control.
Mio/malfoy is interesting though. i wonder if that will develop.

snape may not be intending to (i mean it's blatantly obvious he's interested in har)but i think he's pushing har a bit fast. after all har has had 11 years of concentrated intolerance and the steady doses over the rest and that's going to stick. It's going to take more than just a few sessions to help har realize that gay, bi sexual, het are all as normal as each other. Snape should know that. he's been in har's head enough. I think at his core, har feels that he isn't really worthy of a loving relationship and can't afford one anyway with V on the loose thus he can't fathom snape wanting to touch him 'cause he finds him attractive rather than just as a teaching aid.
snape rather missed his window of opportunity on this one and now he's going to have to work doubly hard to get through har's guard and make him believe (cause i don't think har would believe just letting him know) that snape is attracted to him and genuinely wants him for him.
anyway, you've done a pretty good job with conveying the emotions (shame is indeed a hard one)please do continue.
