No, I understood that either Laura, Severus or both of them would die. lol It was their choice, not Hermione's, and they were risking their daughter's future happiness. One day I will read a story where she just lets them die and I will be cracking up. But I know Hermione won't do that and it would defeat the purpose of the story. Severus is already giving her his name and he has done nothing to deserve that priviledge and, to me, it's disrespecting the man who has been a father to her. My brother is adopted, so it's a little more personal to me, but I get that this is fanfiction, not real life. That being said, I hope Hermione gives them all hell! I am grateful that she doesn't suddenly have a new first name that she decides to adapt. Those stories drive me nuts!

i still can't get over the image of Minoe in my mind...she seems so pretty, with a slight asian flare...or maybe it's just cause i see her kids as mine will come out as lol...

Eh, if I were Hermione and just Severus made the wizarding oath, I would renege on the betrothal. lol Couldn't her mother have just gone to the states or something? I guess that wouldn't make for as good of a story. Still, I'd be mighty pissed if I were Hermione.
