I really like this story so far. Please keep going. I just finished reading your other story Lost in the Music and really liked it too. The plot twist is really good, Severus being Hermione's dad makes a lot of sense and it's great to see a softer side to Draco. :o)

I think the decorating gesture would mean more to Hermione if Draco had done it himself. As it is, she has the house elves to thank for all the work. I wonder if she'll be mad that he used them. I can't remember if you've brought this up yet, but was Hermione still tortured by Bellatrix at Malfoy Manor? And why did the Malfoys act as spies? Because they supported the light or b/c following Voldemort no longer benefited them? I'm so glad you have Hermione reacting realistically to all of this. Snape was a dick to her in Dumbledore's office. Give him hell, Hermione! ;-) Or ignore him.

So I went from going "YYYYEEEEEESSSSSSS!" and clapping to going "NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!" lol I was so happy that I was finally reading a "Hermione isn't a Granger" story where she keeps her name. Oh well. This is still the first one where she actually wants to keep her name. I am glad that you are portraying her as so upset. Her mother and Snape did risk her happiness and as Hermoine said, their safety plan didn't work out so well. I would never want Hermione to walk away from Richard. I think he's her one ally at the moment. Can't she just say that she's not going to go through with the marriage and make her mother and Snape sweat it out for a couple of weeks? lol Is she not as evil as me? ;-)

Wow...this is getting more and more interesting! I have this total vision in my head of what she looks like...and she is probably a knock out! I wonder how Snape will continue to treat her in class and in the future, i know that it is only for a little while but still...hmmm. And just to think about Harry and Ron's reaction...HA that will be fun! I kind of feel bad for Snape...kind of wish Laura would go back to him...although I get why they don't. Just sad for him...the family he couldn't have. I look forward to the coming chapters!
