I've always wanted to read a story like this. Harry and Hermione may be very different people, but they've also had a very similar upbringing of social isolation. No one ever writes about that! Thank you for this.

I'm looking forward to your updates! :D

Masterfully done, I must say. Truthfully, I was expecting some inarticulate smutfest (which I probably still would have read, unfortunately), where Harry saves Hermione, they bone, tralalalala. Thankfully, I was sorely mistaken.

Great use of grammar, spelling was almost impecable, and sentence structure was nigh perfect.

The characters were well written, the scene played out at a smooth, natural pace (no hurrying was felt as I read it) and the overall premise was very entertaining to read, truly. I find it interesting that Quirrell is already dead, and also curious as to what you're going to use as the villian for the first "Book"'s climax, if you intend to go that way at all.

I well and truly cannot wait to read more of this.

Eagerly awaiting your next submission,
sincerely,

I like the way you started this. And I liked the seriousness you gave to the troll attack, instead of playing it for laughs. Be careful, though, that you don't fall into the trap of belaboring a point so exhaustively its like beating a dead horse. You explained Harry's understanding and empathy towards Hermione's situation once. No need to repeat it two or three times. What happens is that the author's story ends up coming off as the actual children's literature it is mining for material. This is AFF. We can grasp a concept pretty easily.

Aim for subtlety.

Looking forward to more.
