I am soooo happy you did this piece. I was dying to know what happened with the confrontation with him mum. It would be interesting to see how Myron and Richard are taking this. While Max is conflicted, from Nasta's explanation Max would pick his submissive and children over his family. However, with Myron and Richard, they are caught between their submissive and one of their children, their eldest child, so I would imagine their conflict is intense. They must be heartbroken to think of losing so much over this fiasco.

Given Ashleigh's reaction to all of this, it would appear that all she really cares about are the babies as that is what she was horrified to find out she would lose. It seemed that she was taking Harry and his feelings for granted and not being honest. The fall out from this will be interesting to watch.

The pain that max most feel. Nasta was right when he told Harry that the dominant's instinct would always pick his submissive, mates and children over his birth parents! I feel very sad for Myron and Richard who are trying so hard to understand their mate without breaking her will. Let's just hope everyone can get over this betrayal and that Ashleigh realizes she too needs to speak with someone more as Harry noticed with Amelle. She still carried her scars from her loss so deep that she has used her grandchildren as replacements for her grief instead of dealing with it. Thank you for Max's point of view!

Great chapter, I feel sorry not only for Max and Harry but Richard and Myron. Those two won't lose their son will they. I love those two characters.

I thought max would do what he did. Are we ever going to find out y that woman did what she did in her perspective or her mates. I hope she has a damn good reason y!

Is it possible to update this story too? I am anxious to find out the mates version of what happened to harry and the latest blow up between harry and max's mom. Now that argument will be interesting to read. She needs a very hard spanking or severe punishme t for what she did

I really, really love "Determination". Max was both cute AND adorable all the way through this chapter. I appreciated the way you highlighted the plight of older Drackens who (most likely) won't get a mate, and allowing us to see a meeting from Max's point of view. Even though I've read TROTD (numerous times now) I felt so bad for poor Max when he was sent away from the second meeting. He was all devastated and sad. I just wanted to pet him and say: "It'll be okay. You'll get scrumptious Harry and lots of men to play with, just wait!"

I think it was quite smart of you to include some slightly older partners for Harry because they realize just how lucky and blessed they are, and this chapter really helps to highlight that. The ratio of Dominants to submissives is 20:1 I believe you stated, and Harry is the only male. It might be easy for Draco or Blaise to forget just how lucky they are to even have a submissive, let alone a male submissive. Of course, they are fallible, and you do have them make mistakes and hurt Harry's feelings, but I think that's realistic of an actual relationship. I think you even had Max thinking right after this that it was going to be a lot of hard work to make the relationship work.

Anyway, I love both TROTD and your scaled bits and I thought it might be time to say *something*. I just really loved this little peek into how Max felt about Harry--even before he became a mate.

Hello, I was just rereading this and the actual story and got to the chapter where Nasta makes the compromise and offers up the idea on baby and me classes and realized we never heard how that went or when they actually took the classes. So, I personally would love to read a scaled bits showing them all in the class and just seeing how they react and some things they learned and who got what fastest and who struggled. Etcetera. Anyway, that is my request and thanks for listening.
