Oh wow! I absolutely loved it! Amazing, witty and sad too - you managed to choke a few tears out of me in the middle there. Oh I'm going to go read the next one right now!

Had to read this one to get better acclimated to your second half; I must say I've enjoyed it so far. Its taken me a few days, but when I get all caught up on the second half, I'll leave a review with my thoughts/impressions and any suggestions/questions.

I wonder if this will lead to Severus figuring out who exactly Harry's secret 'source' is. After all, who except him and Voldemort knew about the promise Voldemort made to him? I cannot imagine Severus told another deatheater that he begged Voldemort to spare Lily. I always thought that was something between the two of them. Well, Pettigrew might know, but he is out of the picture. In any case, if another deatheater knows, surely this person knows also that Snape told Voldemort the prophecy? I imagine it narrows down possible candidates for Harry's source considerably. I like it how you have Snape turning more to the dark again, and supporting Harry. I also like it how Harry is more independent, and relies more on adults than in canon at the same time. He has people he can trust now!

Great story! Just read the last four chapters and it was really entertaining. I think your Snape is very believable, hes tricky to write.
A black phoenix eh? That sounds really cool, like black fire on wings.
Can Sirius be given a chance to rewert to his black roots? something must have made him turn from them in the first place, young people (and the rest) makes mistakes. Even if Harry does'nt want a parental figure with hugs and whatnot does'nt mean he dont need one, a snuggly Snape don't really fit the profile ;o)
I agree that Moony is riddiculus, I mean come on in the book how can he forget to take the potion, he knows it will go to hell if he does.
And your sneaky, manipulative and annoying dumbles is a great read!!!

Thank you so much for all the work you put into this! Not only is it amazing so far, but you update frequently so that I don't have time to go crazy between chapters ^_^ I love your Sirius and Snape, although I'm a little worried about Remus not choosing the right side but I know how weak he was even in the canon, tagging along with the marauders tricks even when he knew they were wrong. I know that as a mudblood, Hermione has the most to overcome to stay on Harry's side but I'm begging you to find a way because I just don't think I can stand it if Harry and Hermione end up on opposing sides.
