Not only did I get my computer to work for a bit, but I found this story again; my evening is going good! I love love love the cobra! Nothing like an unusual companion who does harmless things to startle you! The Grey Wand, that was grand! I always though Harry was quite powerful, but he seemed a bit too neutral to work with a phoenix core wand. Of course going with that line of though, Voldie wouldn't be compatible either and so wouldn't have the 'brother wand'. *shrug* I really enjoy this story, and you are one of the people who got me writing my own fanfic; I never thought I would. Perhaps someday I'll finish it and post it but until then I'll keep enjoying this story. I can't wait for more!! Hopefully my computer keeps working (stupid laptop...).

I'm really liking this story, though I have trouble getting through some of your long paragraphs. I'm glad that Harry is slowly beginning to trust Severus and Lucius, and that they are finally seeing the real Harry rather than the persona imposed by their prejudices.

Kaliya is a much better name than Clarence, but a ten-foot cobra isn't exactly an inconspicuous familiar, lol.

One thing: In this chapter Harry says something about not being chuffed about not being eaten by Hagrid's pets this year, and in a previous chapter (9? 10?) he said something similar about not studying Divination. I think maybe you are confused about the meaning of "chuffed." It means to be happy or delighted, so actually Harry *would* be chuffed about both these things. Unless he was being sarcastic, I guess, in which case please disregard the above. :-)

In any case, I'm eagerly waiting for the next update.

yay a new chapter! i have been waiting for this one, though i am waiting more so for the heavy deliciousness that comes from having the two elder wizards around and poor innocent young Harry. though i do like the slow approach to it, its very refreshing.

well, the boys are getting along better, harry's got a spiffy new wand and a new pet/guardian. sounds like things are looking up...see how long it takes you to throw that off lol. keep up theg reat work :)

what an excellent idea. i suppose the tape measure is fair enough for the kiddies as most of them aren't at 'blow everything up' levels but an adult, yeah, they might just burn the tape to a crisp.
okay, basalisk venom and phoenix tears are obvious (and will done getting that pair of elements into a wand with out them destroying/ neutralizing each other) but i assume the woods are significant as well?

I liked the scene with Harry getting his wand and totally destroying the room AND how he was trying to make expressions like Draco but didn't really know much except the sneering faces lol.

I think it's good he got the snake. He loves his owl but he'll be able to talk to his snake.

Hope he got some glasses along with his contacts. Eyes get tired and need a break :)

Great story so far. I always thought Harry was abused by the Dursleys and Dumbledore....I like it!

This story has me highly intruded i defiantly cant wait to read more. i like your style and i also like the little twists you are giving the character. Normally i cant stand Lucias but this story makes him tolerable. Hope there's an update soon!
