I've really been enjoying this story, and I'm glad to see it updated so regularly. Draco's characterization is spot on. I can definitely see him as a submissive permitted there is a strong enough dom to control him. He always seemed to me to be a reluctant dom, taking the position only because he doesn't trust anyone else enough, but secretly craving - dying - to submit to someone stronger than himself that he deemed worthy. His gradual connection to Harry and growing reliance on him is not only believable, but beautiful and painful (in a good way) to read. (And by the way, I love the idea that a pot smoking Draco would be too mind addled to accurately follow orders under imperious. I'd be very curious to find out what would have happened if he had dropped acid instead - not that I condone drug use, mind you.)
I love your characterization of Harry slowly realizing that he likes to be in control. Not just of Draco but of his own life and how he deals with others as well. Given his past, this need for control not only makes sense, but seem inevitable. His need for control as well as Draco's need to submit to a stronger force, makes their relationship the perfect fit.
I must admit, I fear that this dynamic has the ability to get out of control and send them both crashing, especially with Harry's others duties conflicting with their need to be together. Life and death style stress is not the most conducive element to have in a D/s style relationship. With his inexperience (being 17 and all), Harry also seems to push Draco too hard too fast to be what Harry wants in the relationship. Draco can be a huge prat, but my sympathies are usually with him over Harry because he seems to be the one putting forth more effort. Harry only seems to realize the imbalance in hindsight, while Draco must deal with things as they're thrust at him (so to speak). But then, this makes for fascinating character studies of both of them.
My only critique is of some of the characterizations of other characters. Most I can forgive as writer's discretion, but Hermione seems under the Imperious curse. By this time I would think that she'd develop more of a relationship with Draco either for good or for ill, but it seems stagnant and ultimately uninteresting. It seemed in the beginning that she was waiting for Draco to change or show some progress toward changing, but then she immediately shut down when she discovered that he and Harry are in a relationship. After that she seemed more interested in discrediting Draco regardless of anything that he actually did. Throughout the fic she also seems demanding that Draco make an effort without ever putting forth any effort herself. While I'd find it acceptable behavior in Ron, I find it unlikely for Hermione. I actually find it more likely that she would figure out what's going on in Draco's head before Harry would.
Other than Hermione (a minor complaint), I'm truly enjoying the fic. Thanks for writing it!

Wow. Just wow. I gotta ask- how much work do you put into writing this- the languages, the references.. wicked good. It's quite impressive. I am a lit minor (2 classes shy of a major but I got derailed by other degrees LOL not enough time for it all) so I get persnickety about what I read. It's hard to find stuff that doesn't make my brain melt sometimes when it comes to fanfics. This is fabulous- keep it up! I am dying to read the rest.. I put it off at first, some of the tags had me debating and I thought eh, we'll see. I can just stop if it goes somewhere I don't like. Then you totally sucked me in.. like the story, like the writing, like the sex. I imagine if I had the ability to lay hands on that kind of power I'd blow out a few windows or fuck in mid air too.. sometimes it feels like it *evil grin*
But I digress... the point is, THANK YOU. This is such a good read, looking forward to so many more updates, and thank you for the quick updates at that. I crave the next bits.. two thumbs up!! If you write like this here, I hope that you write somewhere for publication too.. if not, finish this and then start!!

I am truly, without a doubt, enjoying this delightful story. Not only because of the college level vocubulary, but because it is done with such a delightfully sarcastic air. As you may or may not know, sarcasm can be considered it's own sublanguage which in and of itself can be difficult to understand with high degree of skill. I look forward to being impressed with your vorbosity.

Stunned. Speechless. I now find myself in possession of a pair of stonking great titties, the phrase i never, ever, ever thought would pass Draco's lips. The hilarity abounds in that statement. The cliffhanger at end was brilliant, by the way.

I love how you wrote the battle scene by teh way. I wish Rowling had written half as good :P As things stand she had Harry go in throwing stupifys and leg locker jinxes at men who where shooting to kill. and then the whole Voldie scene...*sigh* I mean stupify meets killing curse. Yeah, Harry and the Dark lord really feel like equals in that scene --__--;
