I really liked this. Very well written and plotted. What I liked the best was that Severus for the very first time as long as I have read the books and fanfiction, were truly taken to task for abusing a student. It has always annoyed me that, even if Severus were supposed to be a disliked teachers and a kisser of Slytherin asses to maintain his cover as a spy, he was allowed by the Headmaster and other professors to be a truly abusive teacher without being taken to task for it. The way he treated Harry from day one went way and above his call of duty as the afore mentioned spy, so obviously punishing a child for his fathers sins and for his mother not loving him as he wanted her to do. Neville were bullyied into a nervouss wreck and he never grew out of his bullying of Hermione. She was punished for being a mudblood, Harrys friend, Gryffindor and outshining his preciouss Slytherins. Yes, she gained her knowlegde from books, schoolchildren are supposed to do so, she raised her hand in class, and asked questions. Well, there is a few years since I went to school myself, but I do think it is still a part of the education and grade to raise your hand to answear a question asked by the teacher if you knew the answear, and to ask questions if you want something clarified. Punishing her for doing so and so clearly show that his preciouss Slytherins either didn't know or didnt care about their schoolwork, tells more about him than about her. The episode with the "I see no difference" comment where Draco so clearly had hexed Hermione should have got him sacked or at least severely repriminded if Dumbledore had any credencial as Headmaster in sted of playing warlord all the time. (And yes, I do think Dumbledore was as lousy as Headmaster as Severus were a teacher, and many studends suffered for it). I love that Minerva is a far batter Headmistress than Dumbledore ever were as Headmaster. On the other side, Voldemort and several of his followers, Lucius Malfoy especially, must have been stupid beyond normal for not realising that no teacher would have been allowed to keep his job when behaving as Severus did, if his employer didn't have a secret agenda for it. It is luckily that they were as stupid I guess, but they were still stupid. Anyhow, Hermione has no reason to accept his "Know-it-all" name calling anymore now that she is an adult, and he should stop behaving like a petulent child and start acting as a teacher or find himself a new job. I most sincerely hope that Hermione will give him the massage of his life, leaving him painless, annoyed, aroused and even grumpier due to Hermione being the one installin such feelings in him. I want him to grow into a human being, still the grumpy bat we love, but a more honorable grumpy bat, and I want him to face the persona he has allowed himself to be, and do something about it. I am of course very much looking forward to the next update.
