Do you mean sadist instead of masochist? Since Snape was getting off on the idea of giving Harry spankings, it would be the former

Very exciting! I love when Snape takes care of Harry and now that Harry has turned the tables, I can't wait to see what will happen!

Brilliant work!

Ch. 2 I'm glad to see that Harry hasn't lost his will to live or his defiance. I also experienced a perverse sense of vindication at how he was able to make Severus Snape flee and all without seeing a word. It takes a good deal to rattle the likes of Snape and I'm wondering how he'll handle being so...unnerved.

Excellent descriptions! I could easily see the little bothy and the surrounding landscape as well as Dolohov's decapitation. It's interesting that you mentioned how it took several seconds for him to die. Most people assume a quick beheading to be instant death, when in theory, a person may still be conscious until such time as their cerebral spinal fluid and blood drains out of the head completely. Oh well, couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!

I like how Snape is struggling with the gaps in his memory. It draws the audience in.

It's sad that he's so starved for affection that he wishes Harry would touch him, even if it's in his sleep.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

I'm so glad Jilliane told me (repeatedly) to read this. The start is gripping almost from the very first word, and the images you create of the desolate future are chilling. A superb start - more please!

Chapter 1

Yes, I gave you the challenge, to write a Snarry, and I knew it wouldn't be all hearts and flowers, which is a good thing. I get to red mouse/beta read your chapters first, so, at the risk of sounding sycophantic, I still say nobody writes grim, post apocalypse angst and tragedy like you do, which is also a good thing, and nobody writes as evocatively as you do, which is the best thing. You can always be counted on to be original; I've read of a blind Harry, a crippled Harry, lots of insane Harry's, but I do believe this is the first time I've read of a mute Harry, a definite up on the angst factor, and I do love the angst. And I do hope this challenge does wrest you from the grip of writer's block because I'm dying to read more, and soon.
