Snape was only ever referred to as the Potions Master because he was such an unlikeable teacher that his students referred to him in a more formal manner. In other words, he was just a grouchy school master. It never had anything to do with him having more specialized education than his colleagues, and certainly nothing to do with apprenticeships.

Rape? Honestly? This is OOC for Snape. Hermione's reaction is also completely unrealistic. I cannot suspend my disbelief here.

OMG I just love how this has evolved, despite the wrongness of teacher/student, it is just so RIGHT with these two! Love love love it!

Unfortunately, I only read up to chapter six before I decided to stop. This story is a little too unrealistic for me. I work with women who have been sexually abused and assaulted, and no one reacts the way Hermione did in this story. If the storyline progressed a little more slowly, I think it would be more feasible that she begins trusting Snape again, and in turn becomes attracted to him. The way you portrayed it where she is almost immediately attracted to him really irked me. Guess everyone has their pet peeves when it comes to fanfiction, and that's mine :)

Despite the unrealistic reaction that Hermione has, I think you did a pretty decent job of keeping other people as in-character as possible. I also enjoy your writing style in general, so I'll definitely look forward to reading some of your other stories in the future.

That was a very emotion-charged chapter! Whew! I know he's upset, but if he's not willing to talk at all, I completely get her need to find answers. I know it will be difficult for him, but he needs to open up some and let her into his head, not just his heart. I hope the find some peace with each other before the rest of the world crashes in on them. Thank you again! HG4eva
