Great story :) I remember seeing it a while ago but not continuing, can't remember why, maybe it just didn't update much, but I do remember I wanted to read on, and I can see why! It's an amazing read :)
I like how you have everyone so in-character, especially Harry who seems like a very hard character to get right. Severus seemed very well done, too, but perhaps a little too tame in places, I didn't really get a sense of his caustic tone in a few points where I felt he might be a bit more vindictive or sarcastic. The style is good too, I like the fact you've spaced the plot out over a few years and slowed the pace, it's very original in that sense, so many fictions try to pack everything in as quick as they can, whereas this leads for a lot of development and attachment to the characters :)
The third chapter was very good, too. I really liked the original spin of Harry becoming the Potions teacher, I doubt that's something that's ever been done before, and that you could plausibly pull it off it fantastic too! The beginning seemed a little jolted in pacing and events, but once it got going the story was brilliant and I really don't see why you disliked the chapter so much to rewrite it four times, I adored it :)
Hope there's more, would love to see where this goes.

ch.#3): WOW!!! Did Ginny do something??? Is the nurse even right? Is Harry going to freeze the lake??? What's Snape going to do now that Harry is there? Will Snape be telling Harry to jump from a tower??? Guess I won't know until next chap., so please update soon, I want to know what's going to happen.

#2 of Ch.#3): I forgot... you said you had trouble with this chap., I think I know what it is, maybe. At the end of chap.2, Harry leaves Snape's house and Snape finds out about Harry's visits to the hospital. You jumped, who knows how many years ahead, and who knows whats happened in his life. Did he go back to school? How was he with friends? When/how did he deside to do potions/rare ingr. for a living? You should have skimmed over the aftermath of his visit with Snape and how it affected his life and other relationships. It's a really good chapter 'as-is' and questions can be answered in future chapters, slowly exposing his past, but I think that's why it feels off and you had trouble writing it. I don't know if it helps, but if it does good, take it or leave it as you will.
I still say it's a good chapter and a wonderful story. Thank you for all the work you've put into it.
