Oh, looks like I was right about the rings, yay! I'd like to see Lucius's reaction when he realizes that his plan failed... And Narcissa's reaction to Lucius's move too. But most of all, I'd like to see how Harry and Draco are going to cope with this new development and what it's going to mean for them. I wonder how the bond they share will change with the loss of the original contract and only the bands they added themselves left over... I also didn't expect such a violent reaction and hope they won't be hurt too much by it.
Draco reached an all-time high in his protectiveness of Harry in this chapter. Wouldn't this kind of reaction (from the iron band) get in the way of Harry's everyday life as an Auror, though? How could Draco ever feel that Harry is safe at work (particularly after the recent attacks)? Ian also doesn't have a very good timing, and I wonder how long he will cling to Harry without his pride getting in the way when Harry and Draco are more and more obvious about their feelings for each other... I look forward to Harry feeling the same about Laura too; the small glimpse we saw of it was lovely. But will he be more eager to try the ritual now that Lucius's actions didn't have the expected results? I hope they can still put it off for a while, at least long enough to understand what the new rings mean. And as usual I wish that they would both let go of their other relationships and focus on their own, but I guess they are not quite there yet?
Plus, I'm glad Harry didn't have to reveal everything about the beast (like Draco, I expected that his Gryffindor honesty would force him to keep his promise) - also because he acknowledged that both himself and Draco have changed because of the bond but these changes aren't necessarily negative. And Draco's battle of wills with Ian and protection of his 'territory' was hilarious and endearing at the same time (at least for me). If looks could kill, several people would have dropped dead in that room - several times!

So now we have some leads / solutions for the most obvious problem, at least the case is coming to an end. Yet for the marriage, would Harry easily accept what Narcissa intends to offer, wouldn't Lucius somehow make it difficult? How's about Narcissa and Lucius knowledge of the beast? Would they oppose? Would they find out how to cleanse the beast from Harry?

Another great chapter! Yes, Draco is possessive and protective of Harry indeed. But he wants to include Harry in decisions concerning him too and not hide things from him, which shows that he knows Harry better now and respects him. Now for Harry? He's more accepting of Draco's interferences, probably because he now understands that Draco is worried and cares about him. I loved it when he said 'Our family' and Draco made 'a face like the sunrise' - actually he often notices Draco shining or someting related to light or the sun. In oppositon to the darkness he's afraid of, Draco is a beacon of light and a positive influence? How sweet. :) Also, it's important that Draco shows his support of Harry to the other Aurors too, particularly when Harry will disclose very personal and traumatising information. I hope that it will also make Harry understand that supporting your husband is part of a marriage and not a weakness. And the ritual is put off for a while too, how convenient.
About Narcissa: I'm glad she's also looking out for Harry and trying to find ways to protect him. I think she's the one who notices the most how Draco and Harry are good for each other, as husbands and for their influence on each other. I guess she must be happy that Draco is listening less to his Malfoy upbringing and showing more Black characteristics? I wish Narcissa would be more explicit about her approval and how she wished they could stay married, though. So that Harry and Draco could realise that they have someone who genuinely wants them to stay married because they are good for each other. Plus, with Draco's feelings for his mother, I'm sure that if she told him that Harry would make a better spouse than anyone else Draco could find, it would influence his decision too...

Also: seeing what Narcissa's punishment for Pansy was, I wonder what she would do to the decay wizards and Abernathy if she could get away with it...? Draco too, for that matter!
Harry is so strong to face his demons too. I'm in awe. :) I wish people in the wizarding world would realise how strong he is and everything he's endured for them, instead of believing the garbage found in the press about him.

about #37..
1. The second stage would mean a foul-smelling and painful venereal disease...
- damn..remind me NOT to piss off Mama Cissa. O_o
2. He needed the protection of a proper, proud, powerful family...
- what tha'...do you realize how many p's is in that sentence???
Admit it, you did it on PURPOSE. Hahahaha.. :-D
3. You know without a doubt I always love to see 'Take Charge' Harry,
even when he goes into danger mode. I hope Harry gets a chance to give
them a taste of what he felt, better yet I hope he gets a chance to fight the
beast properly one day.

Heh, they just keep adding to that ring. ^^
Soon, I'm betting they won't be able to brake it even if Luc agrees or they try that ritual.
Poor Ian is practically getting writen out before he even got in. :P
I'm glad they've got a solid lead but damn those decay mages really have it in for Harry.

...why would the decay wizards/witches act so openly this time? Aren't they scretive and careful, that's why it takes months for them to sort out? I am just wondering what has changed....To me, they seem the type holding an illusional image of Harry, that he must be perfect and sad because all great heroes die at the end...???
A new band, now Ian does understand the meaning, how would he take such change? And how will Lucius and Narcissa think when they have so many bands between them?

I loved this chapter (ch 36)! The twist was amazing, I didn't see it coming at all. And the level of injury and the desperation in Draco had my heart sinking until I felt like passing out like Draco. Usually I can handle stuff like this but you have developed the story in a way that I have grown attached, and it actually worried me to see Harry get hurt so badly. And I must say I grinned and chuckled a little when the healer ignored Draco with an eye roll. Clearly he was persistent.
I feel a little bit bad for Ian, but at the same time I don't because he knew what he was getting into, and I am pleasantly surprised to see that he ended up showing Harry how attached he has become to Draco. I noticed he always compares Ian to Draco, and yet he never seems able to match up. It makes me smile because I am growing more and more fond of Draco.
On the subject of Draco I like how he is finally realizing how much he loves Harry and he is paying less attention to his other marriage plans. Oh and he is very clever! I loved his retorts against the reporters. Very elegant, with a well placed pinch of bite.
Keep up the amazing work. I cant wait to see what else is up that amazing sleeve of yours. I am always pleasantly surprised :3
