Hi!

This was really fascinating to read and I hope that you post some sort of sequel. Perhaps one where he somehow wanders into a magical place and is recognized, or maybe Ron and/or Hermione find him.

I agree with you that it was too sugar coated! Your PTSD Harry is intense as fuck and very well written. I loved it. Great fic! Sad, but great. Real.

The truth - as may have been obvious - was that I put the request up as a jokey parody of some of the requests, following another joke about HP fans reading anything. Thank you kindly for taking the request, but it's clear this story is so much more than that little joke.

That you have taken that and produced a five chapter exploration of Harry with PTSD is nothing short of wondrous. This site is very lucky to have you returning to writing upon it. The final chapter is absolute icing on the cake, feeling more extreme in describing sources of Harry's PTSD and reactions, is a fine way to end.

I hope you don't mind that I added this to my recommended list on my profile.

I did enjoy that, even if I felt that last chapter was a little too quick for an ending. But I do think that Harry would certainly have experienced some pstd after it was all over, although I don't know that he'd go so far as to abandon everyone for a time.

I liked that this was a very unique piece, contemplative and soulful. Very nice job on the writing.

Well you've done a good job with Harry's PTSD in this fic and the waiting theme and Harry;s mind set it well played out. I'd take issue with the idea DH should have explored this issue. In the end JKR's writing a kid's book and an archetypal coming of age/heroes' arc story. How do these end? 'and he lived happily ever after' The hero doesn't end up in a ditch, burnt out after a brief moment of glory. Not unless his name is Jason anyway.

Not dissing this fic, though. It's a superb exploration of the topic. One quibble I would have though, is where the hell are Ron and Hermione in all this? They're just letting Harry suffer? Not trying to find him and get him help or anything?

I love this traumatized vagabond Harry.

The flow of your prose is exceptional. And even though your chapters are short, they are succinct. I like the various hints we get of what life is currently like for our hero. The youth hostel and the drugs make total sense. I can see him having a penchant for coke easily. I'm not even surprised by the self-harm.

He needed to heal too. He wanted his wounds licked.

I love that line. You suggest that things went a bit different, though, when you imply that Harry might get arrested if he were to go back. And his thoughts are so understandable. I like how he's questioning whether the wizarding world was even real, if it wasn't some grand psychosis on his part.

Oh, my angsty Harry. Great, thoughtful piece. Keep going.

over 1000 hits! HP fans really will read anything! And some of those must be returning folks who still didn't review. For shame! I held of reviewing to see if anyone else was going too, becuse I figured you'd be hoping for someone other than the person who knocked out the original request. Chapter 3 stays true to the original idea, good stuff.
