This was so romantic, with Hermione keeping her desire secret and apparently doing a bad job of it with a man whose devious past included sussing out the weak or private feelings of others for his own agendas. He excelled at it in trying to oust Dumbledore by manipulating all the school governors in Chamber of Secrets. Hermione had to work with him every day. It was no wonder he figured out her wants. Having Lucius be the one who had pulled the strings to get her in his office was a shivery delight. He waited for her to make a move toward him, but got nowhere, so when his time with her in his office was ending, he lost patience and took. That is quintessential Lucius - droit du seigneur in modern dress. In this case there was much more behind his action than just him exerting his power. I hope they develop a long-term relationship. And I suppose Draco knew all along about his father's feelings and was okay with it. Yes, sooo romantic. Thank you for sharing this.
