And much as I love a good ol steamy sex scene, I think you were right and this was the perfect way to go.

Oooooh! I really loved that! Even without the huge, hot sex scene at the end! I like the way you worked everything out without leaving any unresolved issues or big plot holes (I find that a lot even in the best stories). Oh, and your spelling and grammar are impeccable! (I'm a stickler for both so reading someone who uses them correctly makes me all happy/excited) I can't wait to read more of you!

This was interesting. While the subject matter wasn't what I would normally seek out, it was so well executed that I somehow couldn't stop reading right to the end. And you should take that as the huge compliment that it is.

I know that you haven't gotten a huge response, but I really think this piece is something to be proud of. You took an awkward concept and dealt with it in a very thoughtful and delicate way. It actually came off as believable, which is no small feat considering how few readers could relate to such a situation.

I wouldn't worry about the response too much. It's to be expected when you straddle the line like this. There are the slash lovers who are left disappointed that not enough happened between the guys and the het. readers who are disgusted by what little did happen. Unavoidable really. The writing itself is top notch. I can't even think of any constructive criticism to give you. lol
