I like the story; however, you need to change your description. Hermione isn't doing "voluntary" work; she's doing volunteer work. If you don't know the difference, check a dictionary.

Fascinating story. I've always loved the "living in a painting" concept; it really hit home for me watching "Witches" back in the day even if that IS a rather depressing version of the theme and extremely short-played.
I think this is incredibly sweet... and yet at the same time monumentally Sad when I think of how their friends must miss them terribly. Especially to be gone with no word at all. Still... I'm always one for Draco's happiness over all so it's win.

Already reviewed at H&V, but it's such a treat to see this story anywhere, that I'll review again.
What I love most about this story, despite the fact that it's about witches and wizards and this magical universe we're all so used to, is that it feels almost like a new kind of magic they're doing here, and it feels so special, when they're inside the painting. Have actually copied the painting to my computer and it's now my desktop background ...
